Is this a tough home game or what???
« on: December 09, 2007, 21:52:42 PM »
Our regular monthly home game in Solihull has the following players;

Jon Garrett - 4th at Luton
Mike Hopkinson - 10th at Walsall
Simon Auckland - just finished 3rd in Manchester
James Edwards - complete fish

So apart from me, a very tough game based on history and current form.

So the question is do you play in a tougher home game???

My experience of home games is form goes out of the window after 2 crates of stella, and a bottle of the finest whisky.

Don"t regularly play there, but on Friday we had a corker @ The Duke"s house.

  • Ger - The Duke - APAT Slovakian Open Champion

  • Carl - Shogun - not sure if he"s won any APAT events yet...but it wouldn"t surprise me

  • Rich Offless - English Amateur Poker Champion (back-to-back final tables and 3/3 in the money)

  • Dewi James - Legend

  • Jack - Technolog - on the Final table for next weeks Onlive final.

  • Adam - Sharplea - Got a game on him, but deals or reports instead of playing for APATs

  • AndrewT - final tabled at Walsall in his first APAT event

  • Dafydd Jones - A final table beckons...

  • Llyr Jones - Same as his brother

  • Rich - Tightend - Has been at every APAT national final table.  Remarkable record.

  • Daniel - kinboshi - luckbox

Not a bad home game.  But Jimmy"s right about the beer factor!

Thanks Dan, our home game is quality, yes we have an APAT champ from our regular home game, that being RichEo, and yes he has played 3 APAT's and scored, 1st, 7th, 20th, in the money in them all, and, he is nearly catching me up in the www.chezger.co.uk home game league..!!

I won the league in 2006 and am ahead for 2007 with 1 night remaining..!!  back to back..??  who knows what will happen Wednesday night..!!!

Cheers

Carl..

Hahahahaha, that was definitely a game and a half. Although I think you were being a bit too generous with your description of me there Dan, I don"t have any sort of game at the moment, it"s all gone out the window!

A bit of time on my hands this evening and I got to thinking about the quality of my local weekly "home game"... probably prompted by the fact that I chopped it heads-up on Monday night!!  ;D

Anyway I came up with this -

Not bad for a game that averages 35 runners, I thought? And the most consistent player over the last few years isn"t even on the list.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.
