Thought tonight that i would give the 888poker software a good try.
Being a student i thought i"d do it buy spending as little as i could. I"d noticed some junk e-mails from 888poker in my hotmail inbox and thought to myself i could do with one of those.
The Ipad2 Challenge:
Buy In $1.80 + $0.20
649 Runners
415 Re-Buys
Noticed some familliar faces along the way:
iliketrips -16th
sirpercival
ThisnThat
SighNotAgain
Finishing 6/649 and a little over 4hrs play it think is enough to of given me a decent insight to the ropes of the software and how things work.
Overall the software is pretty impressive. No messing about like you get on PKR (Apart from the usual donks - all in first hand) it"s straight to the point poker which is what i like to see!
I tested out a few features, most are standard such as being able to personalise your profile picture to a limited extent.
I"m thankful of the warning tones and messages that remind you of when your being silly, normally because i"m being occupied by something else. T.V/XBOX/BBC SPORT website etc.
Pop-Ups mostly appear for attempting to fold whilst in a BB position where the action has been flat called around to you. Messages also notify you of a change in table. The tones are more common as they remind you that it has been your turn for sometime already and that you now only have about 8 seconds to act.
If anything the chatbox could me bigger, as i"m one who likes to chat quite a bit. And also the tournament lobby being anything but helpful, being a man who likes his statistics there is very little information available on hands won etc. Not one single line or pie graph in view. But maybe thats what im just used to.
Before i start wittering on about any old bo***cks i"ll finish off by giving the 888poker software a respectable 8/10
P.S Before i go i did however notice that there was a 60 second time-bank.. Something that we are lacking in the English Online Championships?
