Vegas Bucket List- Out of the way places.
« Reply #136 on: October 21, 2011, 15:07:03 PM »
Shoot...I"ve been looking into some less...erm...touristy places to hit up while we"re out there. Understand that most, if not all, of these are waaay off-strip and local places but I"m hearing good things. Just don"t judge by the outside.

I know that most of these won"t appeal to most...hell, even more than a couple but here we go.

Firstly, not far from the Chapel of Flowers (hint, hint) ..

Frankies Tiki Room
1712 West Charleston Boulevard
Las Vegas, NV 89102-2335

Rum Runner Lounge
1801 East Tropicana Avenue
Las Vegas, NV 89119-6559

Bahama Breeze
375 Hughes Center Dr
Las Vegas, NV 89169

Double Down Saloon
4640 Paradise Rd
E Naples Rd
Las Vegas, NV 89109

Perhaps a little too "punk" oriented for most but if we are close.

Stage Door - Doesn"t even has it"s own site.
4000 Audrie St
Las Vegas, NV 89109

McMullans Irish Pub
4650 W. Tropicana
at Cameron St
Las Vegas, NV 89103

This one is a no-brainer as it"s right by the Orleans where I will be staying before you lot arrive but if anyone else fancies a trip!?

BJ"s Cocktail Lounge East - Website is very uninformative
218 East Tropicana Avenue
Las Vegas, NV 89169-7309

I"m not sure what the attraction is but...

I"d be up for visiting some such places. Wish I had planned this better and gone over for longer tbh.

FWIW when I was in Vegas in June I had a great night in town square, vegas on advice from
a few locals. Good food/bars/live music etc. Beer was sooo cheap early & ate for $5 ! Remember a bar with a rodeo bull.
Ended in the Blue Lagoon (or something like that).
Wish I was going again but twice in one year may just be pushing mrs mouse too far!

HAVE A GREAT TIME.
The harder I work,
The luckier I get.

I"m not especially planning on heading downtown (been there, done that) but if it"s something you might want to do...don"t forget Fremont Street East...here"s a guide to both.

That would be the one...but only early on...it gets pretty douchey later (according to my sources).

Top of my bucket list after poker/eating/drinking/fountains is a helicopter trip to the canyon & after a chatting with Curlarge at the weekend seems the best day would be Friday morning when the body clock is all out of sync and your wide awake at 6am so is anyone on else up for this & can anyone advise on a good firm to go with price wise & if it"s cheaper booking online beforehand as I"m not taking my lappy?

cheers in advance - Shaz x
