CAR PARKING

Car parking is available in the Gate Car Park and is free on Presenting Membership card and Car Park Ticket at Casino reception. Space is limited.

DRESS CODE  

The dress code in the casino is smart casual.

REGISTRATION

Aspers is open Twenty Four Hours a Day and we encourage APAT players to be on the premises for the start of the tournament. However, it is not obligatory to be in your seat at the start of the event if you have already purchased a seat.

Aspers Newcastle operates an "Open Door" Policy where people over 22 years of age can enter the casino without becoming a member. Players can join the Casino as a member if they so wish. Those under 22 years old must become a member of the club and to do so will need to bring a valid Passport or Photo Drivers License. If you are under 22 and cannot present valid identification to the Casino, you will not be allowed to enter the premises.


ENTRY FEE

888poker.com APAT UK and Ireland Home International Team Championships: £75 per person (£300 per team), registration fee free, to be collected by Captains and paid to the venue on the day

888poker.com APAT UK Amateur Poker Championships: £75 per person, a registration fee will not be charged. A Player List will be on the forum in the next few days. Capacity is 150 runners and the remaining seats will go on sale at the venue once the online holding tank closes.

The buy in for the Specialist Series Seven Card Stud event on Sunday 24th April is £25+£5.  Seats for this event will be allocated on a first come first served basis to players from Saturday evening via the Cash Desk at the venue.

SCHEDULE

Home Internationals

Thursday 21st April 6pm start

Friday 22nd April 2.30pm start

Amateur Championship

This event will run over two days.  Play commences at 2.30pm on Saturday.

Play is expected to finish at around 2.00am on day one.  Players left in will return for a 2.30pm start on Sunday, with the final expected to finish around 10.00pm that evening.

Due to the nature of tournament Poker, end of day timings are estimated.

Specialist Series - Seven Card Stud

This event will run on Sunday from 3.30pm, to a finish.

FIELD

The Home International field is made up of 32 players, eight teams of four players each.

The Amateur Championship field will consist of up to 150 players plus alternates during the first two levels.

The Specialist Series event will be capped at a maximum of 50 players.


PRIZES

The Prize Pool for the Home International Team Championship is £2,400. The first place team will receive £1,600 and the second placed team £800.

The prize pool breakdown for the UK Amateur National Championship event ill be confirmed at the Casino when the final number of runners in each event is reached.

The winner of the Amateur Championship will win an entry to a UKIPT main event and the top three finishers in the Amateur Championship Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

The Winner of the Amateur Championship event will also win the English Amateur Championship trophy.

The Specialist Series Event will be paid in accordance with the venue"s standard payout for a 50 runner event

ALTERNATES

Alternates will be allowed the opportunity to take part during the first two levels of the Amateur Championship event, should it reach 150 runners.

Please note that all entrance fees will be paid out in prize money.  APAT will not retain any fee for running this event for our members.


BUFFET

There will be no buffets for players at these events. Players are free to order from the menus available at the venue throughout the days


PRESS


Journalists from a number of Poker magazines and a photographer will be present on both days.  We hope to feature a number of images from the tournament on our website and in APAT Magazine after the event.

By entering this tournament you accept that your image may be used in APAT TV, press and marketing campaigns.

LIVE UPDATE

Technology allowing, APAT intend to run a live update on the event and we will be posting player pictures and chip counts throughout the weekend.  Feel free to tell your friends and family, who can follow your progress on the forum.  Guests will need to register on the forum to see pictures from the event.  Registration is free.

Please note the event is subject to the terms & conditions of the Amateur Poker Association & Tour.

CANCELLATIONS


Once a seat has been sold, refunds will not be made.

Players will be able to utilise the APAT Seat Exchange board to trade their seat at the face value.

Seat Exchange Guidelines apply.

You are not the only Richard Baker in the field.  Based on the fact the other one is from the Newcastle area, I"m hoping accents will be able to tell you both apart.   ;D
