So, Christmas Day and Boxing Day has passed, plenty of food was eaten. In particular, too many sprouts!
Not a pleasant aroma!!

This evening I decided to have a little poker-time:

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE

I have been reading other members goals for 2012 and have considered doing my own.

Unfortunately, due to this year being the year where I"m starting my own business and becoming a dad I"m not sure how successful I would be at reaching any poker goals. Having said that, I have made a couple!!  

1. Use my online bankroll wisely and effectively. I often build it up steadily then go on a bankroll bender!

2. Qualify online for a DTD Deepstack or similar. 

2 ¹/2. Play more APAT games (as long as I"m allowed out by the missus!)

A good start to the new year so far:

A short session playing MTT"s has seen a $123 increase in my bankroll

Had another small profit online tonight. My bankroll is nearly sufficient enough to warrant the buy-ins I"m playing!!!

I"ve never been great at bankroll (I have mentioned it before in my blog) but I can"t bring myself to go down to a lesser buy-in. I"ve been fortunate so far this year and hope it continues just a little longer!

Forgot to mention my "Live" win last Monday too:

£20 deepstack (10,000 chips/20 minute blinds) plus £5 bounties....

18 players.

Finished 1st for £185 + £30 in bounties

I"m running good online at the moment. Had another nice cash this evening and finally managed to break the "100 buy-in" bankroll for the games I"m playing. Now it"s time to build up to a higher level.

Next week I think I"ll sign up to Genting and try some satellites for their 2012 tour!

Not so good running tonight... Played in a SkyPoker satellite for a seat at their Luton event. I think it started with 18 players which offered one seat and a 2nd prize of £176. Made it to the final table without really getting any big hands, although I did hit a few flops. When down to four players I had 15k of the 36k in chips but managed to finish 4th!  

I had AJ on a AQx flop. Turn brought another Q to help my opponents KQ.
I called a shortstacks all-in shove with 66. he had K9... 9 on the river!

However, I did manage to turn £5.50 into a £55 satellite seat on Genting last night. So hopefully, I will soon be telling you all about how I won a seat on the 2012 Genting Tour!  

I also still have a PokerStars bankroll above 100BB of my usual buy-in (only just though).

It looks like my good run has well and truely ran out!!

I"ve now had two days playing with my PokerStars bankroll and not even got close to getting in the money.

I"ve been getting it in ahead, probably about 90% of the time, only to get beat!

Going to take a shot at the Sunday Storm tomorrow.... Hopefully I"ve saved two days of "run good" for that!
