Ok. Online poker is starting to annoy me....... Played a few more sit & go"s last night and yet again having no luck:

A 9 against J 9 on a flop J 9 x..... turn A..... River J
A 5 against A 5 (with the ).... Two spades on the flop.... Another on the turn..... And, another on the river!!

Maybe I will just stick to MTT"s with deepstacks and good structures..... Less quantity, more quality!!

APAT Poker

Unfortunately for me it seems APAT events may well pass me by this year!  

I eagerly awaited the calendar release with the intention of playing as many as possible, but not much has gone right yet:
Coventry was one of the places I wanted to play but being the first event it was too short notice for me.
Newcastle, to be honest, wasn"t on my short list but my boss developed shingles and put paid to that anyway!
Cardiff was a close call, until I was informed of a Wedding reception.
Glasgow, like Newcastle is probably just a little too far.
Nottingham is the one I was "definately" going to play but I"ve agreed to do the Coventry Goliath that week and may not get a pass from "her indoors" for a whole week of poker (especially being a Bank Holiday) But there"s still hope. Maybe I"ll turn up for an alternates seat!
Cork, Vegas and Prague will also sadly be NO"s  :"(

On the bright side I have been allowed out tonight to play at Norwich Poker Club. Report to follow.......

Before part 2 here"s a little bad beat story from an online game last night:

Ok, so it was only using up some "Player Reward Points" but nether-the-less......

I"m playing tight, only played a couple of hands in half an hour, folded to aggression pre/post flop, I have won one small pot. The table now has quite a few large stacks who have been shoving with any two cards and getting lucky!

I"m down to 1275 (1500 starting stack), blinds at 50/100. Three limpers join in I have  kc  kh and shove...

I get one caller who reveals  ::

I"m an 80% favorite!

My outs are down to something like 2 %!!!!

I run like a one year old VW minibus!!

For those who aren"t following me on twitter @McThinsy and don"t know: I"m very pleased to have won my seat into the Goliath in an online satellite last night. Qualified at my first attempt and the package includes expenses too.  

It wasn"t all plain sailing though... Found myself short-stacked on the bubble after being outplayed spewing chips from playing badly!

I was all-in with pocket 9"s against J"s - hit a 9 on the flop  

I called the then shortstack"s all-in with AK (diamonds) to find I was up against KK and become the shortstack again!!  

Then an average stack raised, got called by the chip leader:
King high flop, all diamonds - average stack shoves with AK, chip leader calls with a flopped flush!! Bubble Gone!
