APAT WCOAP World Amateur Team Championship 2011

The 2011 APAT World Amateur Team Poker Championship will take place as part of the World Championship of Amateur Poker festival, at Nottingham"s Dusk Till Dawn on August 25th & 26th.

The entry fee per country will be £400; with no registration fee.

There are currently 14 countries taking part in the event and they are as follows:-

Canada
England
France
Germany
Holland
Italy
Northern Ireland
Poland
Portugal
Republic of Ireland
Scotland
Spain
USA
Wales

Each country will feature four playing members and a Captain; who may play as part of the team of four.  All of whom will also receive an option to enter the World Amateur Poker Championship main event following the conclusion of the Team Championship.

Looking forward to this a lot.  I know its early, but any idea if its gng to be just holdem, or holdem and plo?

It"s likely to be NLHE and PLO STT"s, NLHE Heads Up, and NLHE MTT, but we are just finalising that with the venue.

Why the change from previous years to include PLO ?


We ran one round of PLO in the home internationals in Newcastle, and it proved very popular.  For that event, every player had to play one STT of PLO.  Nothing is finalised as yet.

fwiw - I like the idea of PLO in there.  Adds something else to the mix and make it a unique tournament.

What time does the team championship start on each day?
