Hi everybody,
Well whatever people may think, this has been quite a tough decision. Players showing awesome results over the past twelve months. The Apat ethos of giving as many as possible a chance to play, and a few more all went into the pot before my final decision.
That is to keep the existing winning team from last years World team Championship. Yes these guys also deserve a chance, a chance to hold onto their present Title, or at least to try to defend it.
Should I have picked a new team and flopped, well questions would be asked, ie why didn"t you play the same team? etc.
I am sure questions will be asked anyway, and everyone is entitled to an opinion. Ultimately this one lies with me. This is my outcome and I hope (know) that we will have the support of all Our fellow Welshmen.
Sincerest apologies for anybody wishing to apply for the squad, I know it means another twelve months before anybody else will have the same chance. Should anyone wish to forward any constructive comments, please feel free to do so.
It will not affect the decision that has been made, but we may:
* Learn something for next year, whoever the captain maybe.
* Give players a chance to Air their feeling, should they wish to.
* If you wish to pm Me, this would also be ok and kept private as expected.
Thank You to Apat for the opportunity of taking part in a marvellous format of poker. Very well setup and ran, being what we have come to exoect. They have set very high standards for themselves, and seem to deliver time and again. I am sure with the extension of countries entering this year, that it can and will be better.
Oh and one more thing for anybody new or unaware, the Wales Squad is as follows:
Herbert Dylan
McGuinness Paul (
Capt)
Owston Dan
Rudling-Smith Richard
Thanks again all, hope to see you at DTD in August. We will all be doing our utmost to fulfill Wales potential and repay the Honour bestowed on us.
Paul Mac
