If someone has raised questions about.......anything, shouldn"t we be allowed to see them?
Generally I agree with you but the issue in question was getting even more personal and abusive than before and, in fact, stemmed from a previous fracas elsewhere.
The Team discussion was, IMO, a "straw man" used to start it up all over again.
I took it offline and stated my reasons on the mod board...if I had been over-ruled I wouldn"t have minded...but I wasn"t.
I like to keep the APAT board a happy place and this was harshing my mellow...man!
Paulie, My posts in this thread were in no way abusive or personal and I take offence that you are insinuating that they were. My posts questioned the selection process for the comp, nothing else.
Your opinion that "The Team discussion was, IMO, a "straw man" used to start it up all over again." is ridiculous and unfounded.
As Des has posted earlier, he had no problem with the thread staying up, he also understood why you thought it best to remove it. ( he has to be seen to back his team in public understandably).
Des did indeed communicate with me via PM on here and we both explained where we were coming from and made our views known. As far as I was concerned that was the matter finished and done with, then I see you posting in a self important puffed up manner implying that you have saved the forum from some sort of terrorist attack, get a grip man ffs.
In fact, here is my post on the subject ...
You obviously ignored the rules of your selection process by allowing teams which do not have a forum to be selected, and even told someone who applied as a sub forum from Sky that they were not eligible yet selected a sub forum from APAT.
I understand that it is your party and you control the invites but perhaps you should not invite applications next time and just select the teams that you want to play, because the playing field was not exactly even was it.
Good luck to ALL teams who got in, I am sure it will be a great event.Take cover everyone, the above post is obviously too distressing for the delicate eyes of APAT readers according to Paulie.
