I"ve sat here this morning thinking "whats all this Pai Gow talk?"

I thought Pai Gow was a chinese domino type game....

A google later I realise thats PIA GOW!

So, it turns out PAI GOW uses an "ordinary" deck of cards...

I search for the rules...... I read the rules.... I search for tips on how to play.... I read the tips on how to play... I get my deck of cards... I deal out 7 hands..... I sort them out..... I enjoy it..... I play again... And again....
I come on here..... I find this thread..... I play more hands..... I enter the results into the "Pai Gow Strategy Calculator"... The calculator agrees with every hand I sort!!!

I didn"t go to Vegas.... I"m hooked on PAI GOW!  ;D

Thanks for that!!

Love the game, normally a relatively cheap game. Where you can spend numerous hours for very little cost(if any at all). Whilst enjoying the company of others with free drinking thrown in if you wish to.

That said, it cost me money on this trip, still i am a winner as i spent a lot of time with my fellow apaters and had a ball. Can"t buy a good time(no replies required here? :-)).    Priceless really.

Wasn"t it you that had previously renamed the game as Guy Powers Poker when playing drunk?

Does anyone care about the odds etc .

The point of PAI GOW is to sit with a table full and smash the free beers !

So playing the bonus is a losing prospect?

If my rudimentary maths are correct, for the Royal Flush the house offers 150 / 1 on a slightly less than 1000 / 1 shot so you are running way ahead of EV, mbn  ;D

I on the other hand did"nt play the bonus and never turned down a drinks offer = exploitive Paigow"ing

For next time my strategy will be to drink more while wagering less ;D

I / Macys have 750 reasons to be thankful for that tbh ;D
