I have just bought a nice new set of 1000 Clay chips, getting them shipped over from America..  They are great and less than half the cost of the same over here..!!  And..  They are tremendous...!!!!

If APAT are skint, maybe I can donate the old ones.. LOL..

Ill post post post..

I actually think its a good idea, along with probably getting some nice card protectors going for people to possibly buy, or even give away, BSQ on one side, APAT logo on the other..

so how many chips would we need. In Walsall I think we had 4x25 - 4x100 - 3x500 -3x1000 - 1x5000. Please correct me if i"m wrong. Making a total of 15 chips per person. 200 runners = 3000 chips. Of course extras will be needed for alternates and larger fields & chipping up. So lets say 5000 - 6000 chips in total. How much do you think these would cost, bearing in mind we would want quality printed chips.

Nice idea..only drawback I see is that on any change of sponsor..your Chips/Card Protector is as out of date as Spurs/Arsenal/Machester Utd kit from 3 months ago.

Best just to go with the APAT Logo...whatever that is ;D

This is a good idea in principle, with only two potential drawbacks.  1) The logistics of carting them around and 2) Security / people holding onto them as card protectors etc, when they remain the APAT tournament currency.

Leave your coat Daniel, you don"t deserve it.

It"s not going to be hard to carry around 6000 chips, and who would steal a chip to use as a card protector??

APAT already do a nice card protector... finish 1, 2 or 3 at a regional event and you can get one... choice of 3 colours too! :-)

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

My Gold medal was too big also... so I used my other one, the bronze one.  :P

IThe regional gold one is perfect for the job - although it didn"t help my 8s hold up against the AK I pushed against  :(
