My apologies.

Only 21 people then know nothing about poker.

The people who have voted in these awards have clearly ruined them.

Not sure what this "sentence" actually means?  What is the point you"re trying to make?

Well clearly the 21 people who voted know nothing of poker because they have voted for a guy/girl who shouldn"t even be on that list.

Oh - I see!  I thought your initial post was saying that only 21 voted for him and the rest didn"t know anything about poker.

I think his result was a phenomenal achievement, and I"d love to do as well as he has.

I was split between voting for Jon Woodfield and John Tabatabai.  Obviously, John did brilliantly to come runner-up to arguably the in-form tournament player in the world - but as this is APAT, I voted for the relative "beginner", Jon, who freerolled his way to Vegas where he more than held his own with the "best" in the world.

I"m sure John wouldn"t mind ;D.

Jon Spinks got 21 votes - what have you got against him?

Or do you need to clarify further in some other way?

I know how many votes he got.

But not only are his achievements not worthy of the list but he is a proffesional poker player so by the very name of these awards he surely cannot be nominated!

I understand your argument Kin.

I think it"s like saying John Tabatabai has been a superb amateur player, but his achievement was boosting his normal 8 out of 10 level to a 10 out 10 level.

Whereas as a bog standard recreational player I had to up my game from a starting 4 out of 10 to an 8 out of 10 level.

I personally thought he should win it. However unlike Kinboshi I have no conscience am insanely competitive am driven and focused.  Although now I wish I had voted for John Tabatabai just because it would have made the result even more exciting.

Why didn"t you say that to start with?

That was an awful lot beating around the bush before you finally managed to get to the point.

I can"t comment on the point, I wouldn"t know whether he was making a living from poker or not. But at least now we"ve got to what exactly you"re problem is.

Surely the integrity of the association rests on knowing whether your members are amateur players or not.

He luckbox"s his way to 1 final table and this is worthy of nomination for performance of the year?

Your members must really be of a poor standard.
