Best Tournament Performance(s) At A Non APAT Event

i still dont get why his achievements dont deserve a mention?

He luckbox"s his way to 1 final table ...

You see, comments like that might make people think there"s something personal involved rather than an objective judgement.

You"d have to ask Des for sure, maybe he just forgot about him?

It"s easily done, Roberto"s such a quiet type. :)

You are missing the point.

How can you luck your way into a final table finish in 1 MTT and then be nominated for performance of the year?

bored now, somebody else might want to answer, but it"s getting too tedious for me.

Just congratulate me on the result and "let it go".

I don"t know who you are but you obviously have some kind of grudge, most likely brought on by jealousy.

You have no idea about my personal affairs and if you call being a pro making a sole income from poker, so be it. I was talking to someone earlier, they are a housewife, the only money they make is from Poker, are they a pro? I am unemployed at the moment, but you don"t know anything about the area I live in, if I wanted to earn a crap income, I could, and I could go work 1 day a week and tell you where to stuff it, I spend a lot of my time helping on EatMyStack, I make videos of my play to help people with their cash and tournament games, I spend a lot of time analysing hand histories, as well as studying the game for myself. Just because I have a dream to make something of what I have, people like you are not going to stop me.

My achievement in the event I was nominated for was huge, I played for 17 hours and was against some of the best players in the world, the amount of money was VERY significant to me, and seeing as I only took $30k of the amount I won, I think that says a lot. I know you say luckbox cos you are just having a little dig, but you are obviously clueless, maybe you"d like to see the 1000+ hands I played of the tournament and then assess just how lucky I was?

The biggest tournament I have ever played in live is the APAT event, I thoroughly enjoyed the 1 and only event I have made of theirs so far, it was the most nervewracking experience of my poker "career", I felt more comfortable playing for $160k in that tournament then I did with the chip lead with 12 left at Walsall.

At the end of the day, I don"t play APAT events for the money, sure the £3k 1st prize is juicy and no one would not want to win it, but I play it for the experience, the social aspect, and the chance to support a great organisation, and if people like you struggle to understand that and want to destroy not only my involvement with it, but APAT's "integrity", then go for it. Des and the crew have done so much for the live poker scene in the UK and I intend to support them however I can, whether by playing the pro only events, or if I am allowed to, the national events.

This post isn"t just for the joker in this thread, it"s for everyone a part of APAT to understand, just because my only income is through poker, does not mean I am superhuman or looking for something out of it apart from the enjoyment.

Des and the rest of the crew, keep up the great work, and well done to the razz machine Jon (too many Jon"s in this category) for your great achievement.

That is all from me, sorry for it being so long.

Have a good new year
Jon
