Division 2 - It's Tight At The Top
« on: October 30, 2011, 15:13:06 PM »
Team Carlisle pulled another win last week.  I was surprised to see such a decent result, as I  have been guilty of taking my eye off the game for 2 Rounds prior.  Some of this has been down to running bad and feeling a little sick of MTTs, and with the delayed start time back at 9pm I talked myself out of playing.

The following week, I felt pretty run down on the back of a run of long shifts at work and my head was not in poker.

I had also been finding it harder to keep the numbers going and felt that a lot of our team had lost interest.

Thanks to the team for a great performance last week - Chris Irving was the Round winner and we took 3 points.

I think with 4 rounds left and a 3 point gap separating a few of us now, the run in is going to be highly competitive.  I have the APAT live seat in my sights, a Division 2 title, and the spring is back in my step.

Come on Team Carlisle.

Come on Leeds

Well played Stuart and Thomas... really enjoyed the game... but finishing behind two Scotsmen though, that"s hard to take. Still cant complain... rode my luck a bit even to reach FT. Well done guys.

Had four in the top 18 last night from eight starters.  The lads thought we had top spot sewn up, but despite not following who was from where on the FT I had looked back at previous winning scores and thought 2nd more likely.

For Glasgow to win it was a strange result for us.  Whilst we closed the gap on the teams above us, Glasgow now lead Carlisle by three points and are possibly the strongest supported team in these closing rounds?  If so, we have our work cut-out now to make up the difference.  That is not discounthing the challenge from Leeds, Dublin, and Kent also.

Thanks Waz.  Looking forward to locking horns with you in Divison One next season.  We"ve come a long way but we still need a big push to even get promoted.

You can only play pocket jacks 3 ways, all of which are wrong.

It's only a gambling problem if you are losing :D
