I know I missed this out on my future tournaments list, I have no idea why, still don"t. However I have booked this bargain and will rack my befuddled cranium space for why I thought I couldn"t make this one.

It"s an age thing......

In case anyone else has trouble...use the September £19 Offer (http://www.premierinn.com/en/it/offers/september-2012-sale.html) and search for Newcastle Under Lyme*.

It does appear that Saturday has increased to £34...demand must high.

*Make sure you don"t pick Newcastle Upon Tyne....as these are full payment in advance and non-refundable.

Why on earth are you all staying Sunday night as well?

One might go deep in the ME (OK, unlikely for me) or friends might.

For me...it"s a 4 hour drive home...much closer for Ger but for £19 one can have a drink on Sunday too....why not?

Oh...and there"s always the possibility of a Side Event or there is the Gentings Sunday Night efforts or the Grosvenor down the road.

Other than for distance reasons, I just don"t recall many occasions where people tend to stay on Sunday nights. With Stoke being fairly central it was a surprise to see Sundays being booked when most would have work the next day. Long weekends FTW :)

You bet your sweet patootie....other than Vegas this year (and that"s in December) long weekends ARE my holidays.

You are right, of course, there is no specific reason why people who are centrally located NEED to stay Sunday but by that argument one could say that if they are within, say, 2 hours* they don"t need to stay any night.

*Except where prohibited by law. :)

Susie P and I (not together obv.,) had already booked in here for Friday and Saturday (£63), so cabs should be cheap enough between us all. :)

Are you sure....I think this might apply to Travelodge...not the Premier Inn?

I can"t find a PI less than £29.

Just by signing up on the APAT forum makes you a APAT member :) welcome..

You are more than welcome to play any of the live events, to enter you need to download the appropriate card room to reserve your seat, for the up and coming event at the end of the month you need to sign up via Genting online . But for the majority of events poker.co.uk all links can be found on the forum ( may need to troll a little ).
Gl and hope to see you at the felt..

For those in Stoke / Newcastle-under-Lyme on Thursday night.

My current plan is...beers.

Expected location is The Old Plough Inn (https://plus.google.com/100727780738806115643/about?gl=GB&hl=en-GB) which apparently does a decent steak & beer.

My fallback is the The Holy Inadequate (https://plus.google.com/108881948037037708337/about?gl=GB&hl=en-GB) which deserves a visit just on the name alone...but we can always leave that to another day.

Worst case, there is a Toby Carvery a stones throw away.
