The next event of the APAT Online Series; the Spanish Open, will take place on February 14th at 8pm.
The event can be found through the Tournaments / Specials / APAT tab on the Blue Square client, for an entry fee of $10 + $1.
Players will start with a 4,000 chip deepstack, with the top nine scoring APAT ranking points and the top three securing APAT gold, silver and bronze medals.
The Blue Square poker client can be downloaded by clicking the February Schedule banner at the top of the APAT forum.
Good luck to all participating players!

That is an absolutely incredible record. If you"ve been to an APAT live event, can you direct me to your pic Bobby as I"d like to organise a feature on this.
-
yeah
looking for my 7th non final table in a row.
thats if the missus want to show how much she loves me by letting me play
-
I"ll me there, IF I can get a pass to play tonight...... ;D
-
I have clearance to play tonight too. Valentine"s Dinner re-scheduled for tomorrow night.
Oh right ... so 3 FTs on the bounce isn"t worthy of a feature but 4 is ... ?? Hmmm ...
-
lol
-
Would anyone mind if i came 4th tonight? Seems to be my favourite finishing place this week!
-
Whoever wins tonight, I hope no one posts on this thread saying how lucky they were. If you go out of the tournament due to a bad beat, it happens to all of us, nobody else is interested or wants to hear your bad beat story so lets just applaud whoever finishes with the gold.
-
Here, here. An early candidate for post of the year.
-
Ya me, got my pass!!!! I"m in.... ;D
-
I"m in although the numbers suggest many are out!
-
8 mins to go and only 71 players i didn"t realise how many apat members were so romantic, taking there beloved out for a nice meal ect. ;)
-
Im in, whilst doin my VAT return, watchin a film and having a takeaway curry and bottle of wine with the wife. Happy dayz. All i need now is to win the Gold.
I love my life sometimes.

Bearing in mind that, during an earlier post, I suggested not bothering with bad beat stories I am definitely NOT going to whinge about having my aces cracked. Absolutely no way, never, not at all :"(
-
Nor am I gonna whine about going out with KJ to K9 when the 9 hit on the river ... no sirree, not me ...
:"(
-
Well if thats the case I wont mention my AQ being beat by AJ. :P :P

YET ANOTHER Final Table for Charlie Curtis (janc59). Awesome! Run a feature on him Des :)
-
After a poor start I hung on a managed to win a few hands without showdown. Card dead in final table and picked up Ac7c on BB. Called a button allin raise, he had KQ and got instant service with a K on the flop, out in 7th, best result yet! Mayfair on a rush, gone from short stack to 3rd in 3 hands. Looking forward to the next game.

Should I ease up and play this hand differently in level 1 of a deepstack slow clock tourney?
blinds still 10/20. I reraise in early position to 80 with KK. All folds round to BB who moves all in for 3980 more into a pot of 110. Should I call here???
I called - he showed AKo. Of course the flop contained one of the three remaining As.

Firstly don"t be results orientated.
you say you reraise to 80 i assume you mean you were the initial raiser. if so what else are you going to do with KK you could have raised more but then you are likely to discourage action with a premium hand surely not what you want? Not sure what you mean by ease up? limp fold to a reraise? ???
You managed to get him to commit 200BB with Ace high ffs. Never folding KK to that actiion i"m afraid if he plays AA like that then he is losing a shed load of value from his premium hands imo. The all in shouts out "go away i have a hand i don"t know how to play" call every single time and don"t ever doubt you are doing the wrong thing. You would need to shoot me then break my fingers to get me to let go of KK there.
p.s. kinboshi might even call to this action (might i say)
-
not sure my question was actually serious - it was written from pure frustration. Am forever losing to fish chasing 3 outers, and was just taking the opportunity to rant.
-
OK then please ignore previous post.
Apart from the kinboshi calling part...now pretty certain he would fold imo.

ditto to the above.......

this conversation got me thinking about whether the "correctness" of an action varies according to the tourney type, and have started a specific thread on this....
