I see what you"re doing here...... and I like it  ;)

One Question, there"s a league game at the same time as the main event. Will it stay that way?

I know not everyone likes to multi table, but we are going to have these cross overs.  I"m scheduling events to ensure we don"t have any live and online clashes, but we will have the odd league game and other event in the same night.

If anyone has any thoughts, please message Matt.  These won"t be setup for a week or so, plenty of time to get it right.  The only criteria I have is that it starts at 7pm, and doesn"t go on past Midnight (because Matt and I will turn back into mice, and Matt's Lotus becomes a pumpkin again  ;) )

lol :D :D

Or post views here as I"ll be following this thread.

Going to have a quick look at a Stud tourney on PS to see how they do it.

Agree with 15 min levels. I think that would be better than 12.

Love these week long series and idea of POTS title, but wish they would fall on one of the weeks I don"t do backshift again  ;)

If it proves popular, then we will make it a regular thing.

Limit Hold'em for old skool players?
Stud H/L would be fun.
HORSE?

Wouldn"t it be great?

TBH I"m surprised (in a good way) that Stud has been introduced and I"m happy with that - I"m not expecting any other games. I"m pretty sure that Leigh's answer is a No anyway - it"s that bit about the software that gives it away.

All events award the same points. We"ll try it that way and see how it plays out. There"s a bonus point for each event you play.

Is the $5 rebuy a genuine "unlimited" rebuy event or do you need to have 1500 chips or less to rebuy?

Its not clear in the software, just working out how many bullets I am likely to need.

Yes, definitely late reg. There is a lobby bug that Boss are aware of, that means the late reg. time doesn"t show correctly.

Can you point me to one of the other registering tourneys that shows late reg. time there? I"ve just checked a few, and none of them are displaying it...

I just clicked on the first registering tourney I saw on the list - 17.00 CPP daily feeder is showing 30 min extra time, 16.30 Texas 2nd life has 45 mins.

Thank you.

It seems the bug only occurs when there is 1 hour or more of late reg. Late reg times of 15,30,45 mins display correctly. Puzzling!  ???

Sigh just discovered that myself when clicking back from observing another table to find I had called an all-in pre. Wouldn"t have been a problem if it was pot limit pre as had a nice lo hand to see a flop on but hey ho ... won"t be watching other tables in future ;-)

Hi all

I was unable to follow the omaha tourney last night.

Sounds like there was a problem though. Did the game start off as No Limit then suddenly change to Pot Limit? If so, at about what level did this happen?

Need to contact Boss to find out how this could happen. Will post back later.

Hi Matt,

The tourney started off as pot limit, ran as pot limit most of the night.. Just that in a couple of hands from what I could see all of a sudden jumped to NL.. It happened once at my table when a couple of us noticed a player was able to get a whole stack AIPF, and then a player from another table chatted on the rail that in fact it had happened at their table.

This

Also noticed on 4th that I had the option to bet 300 or 600 in one situaton and I DID NOT have a pair showing, 1st to act did have a pair showing so that might explain the error, but it"s still an error IMO.

Really pleased that they are happening though and appreciate that Matt / APAT are listening to feedback

Gonna throw a spanner in now - seven nights in a row for these series is pretty heavy going. I think it would be better if there were fewer games or some gaps in between. Loving the Hi-Lo, Stud & Heads-Up. Maybe the Six-Max and the Rebuy could be dropped.

Alternatively, keep all games and have just top four counting for POTS scores?

Only top 5 scores count (8 events in total), although you get a guaranteed point for playing, which isn"t capped.

Yes I know. Most hardcore will try and play at least 5 events out of the eight ... still time consuming in one week when there"s homework to help with and dinners to cook (especially when you get in at 7pm from work with a 7pm kick-off).

If all events were kept but only the top 4 count (just dropping it by one), then that helps during the week whilst still giving everyone a good chance to qualify for the awesome extra added value that POTS gives  ;D

I love these online champ games, the variety is great and would hate to lose any of the Side Events ... just putting it out there that maybe dropping to 4 top scores qualify may help ease the pressure a bit for those who have week night commitments ... plus still keeping most people in the running for the leaderboard throughout the week.

I think whatever the schedule is - it will never suit everyone. ( i.e I don"t finish work till 10pm Tues & Weds)
Changing things in the future may be good for some but it would hinder others.

Which is why keeping the schedule and side events exactly as it is but dropping the amount of top qualifying results to 4 (instead of 5) will hinder no-one but would benefit more :-)

I don"t think top-5 only has any effect. Someone would have to score points in 6 out of 7 tournaments for it to be triggered.

Top-4 only would probably have no effect either for the same reason.

That"s a lobby display error unfortuantely :( I assumed it would be fixed in the most recent update, but clearly hasn"t been.

If you look at other lobbies, they almost all display 100% for a few seconds before correcting itself to display the full list. For some reason this one is stuck on 100% all the time tho.

Hope Boss make it up to Asa with a nice goodwill gesture if he has to share his winnings with us... it"s the least he deserves for being so understanding about it

Agree. Thanks Asa + those that would have cashed for being so cool about it.

I"ve had to email Boss the problem, and they are going to sort the credits. I thought it would have been sorted by now, but looks like it might take a bit longer. Will update as soon as I hear back.

I would just like to say before the main event kicks off, that this series is a brilliant idea.

Well structured, a variety of games, added value and good banter.

Well done APAT more of the same please.

:)

Wow what an awesome set of results Zozzy much Kudos..  Good luck with the Genting spin up!!  A very hard fought series, what with Divv and Guppy and Robbie playing some fantastic poker along the way what a brilliant POTS race, gonna be tough for anyone to match Craig"s stats though  :o

Thanks again APAT enjoyed the series yet again.

Excellent series, well done APAT once again, and well played to all those above me.

I have one change I"d definitely like to see and that is to move the main event back to a Saturday night.

Other than that, if the software is up to it, I"d like to see more variants in more games spread over a longer time, say 11 or 12 games over a fortnight or 16 days (a lot of us get grief if we play every night for a week, whereas a night off every four would be most welcome)

PS IS the software up to it? I"m talking Razz, HORSE, draw, 2-7

Dunno if it makes any difference but it"s been pointed out to me that the table adds all results and not just the best five as stated in the rules of the series.

Craig still wins it I guess.

No cap on the guaranteed 1 points for playing, so it adds up okay as no one made the real points in more than 5 events.

The software doesn"t have Razz, HORSE, or 2-7

The full list of tourney styles available are:
Texas Hold'em
Texas Hold'em short-handed (5 per table)
Texas Hold'em Heads Up MTT.
Omaha
Omaha Hi/Lo
Seven Card Stud
Five Card Stud
Soko (?)
5 Card Draw
5 Card Draw 7-A

Any game can be: Limit/Pot-Limit/No-Limit, and be rebuy (limited or unlimited) or freezeout.

Not so sure if any of those other games would go well in a tournament, although other than 5 card draw I"ve never played any of the "other" games. Soko seems to be a variant of 5 card stud, would be interesting to give them a try at some stage but I think they"d be better suited to cash games.

Is there a 5 card triple draw or 7 card stud hi lo in the offing do you know?

I"d think it almost certainly isn"t. The player base isn"t large enough at the moment to cater for the less popular games.
