Title: APAT International Team Challenge
Post by: Mayfair on March 16, 2008, 13:39:05 PM
Anybody know the format for this event in November.

How many in each team, live/online qualification etc...

Cant seem to find any info apart from it being the last live
event of Season 2.

Was there one last year?

TIA

No there wasn"t one last year

the format is being worked on, not finalised yet

However if you imagine teams of four, chosen from APAT ranking positions according to country..you will be in line with our current plans

Not exclusively made up of ranking positions, we will probably appoint four team captains who may have the option to select a player of their choice, in addition to two automatic qualifiers through the rankings.

What about the Forum challenge?

Are you thinking of something similar for that?

The UK Forum Challenge will be made up of teams drawn from the many poker forums across the UK.  Seats to Blackpool will be allocated to those forums and their will be prizes for best performing player and forum.

I think that I am most looking forward to the International Team Forum No Limit Hotel Check In Championships.

Should be a close run thing.

I think there should be an APAT contingent in the forum challenge... Any seconders?

Sounds like great fun anyhow...

I"ve a feeling the APAT Forum team may be first on the list, or Des could have a mutiny on his hands.

Looking forward to it in whatever format it takes place.

I suspect that this event could be a popular one. I think we"d all, including the Regional Managers and Assistant Managers, live with whatever decision Des and Rich came up with for the allocation of seats.
