Title: WCOAP Omaha, Stud and Razz
Post by: duncthehat on March 30, 2008, 21:52:38 PM
Been pushing the misses to let me take a week off to play these and the 300 main event in august.  Noticed the stud omaha and razz events are non ranking events

With all the regionals earning ranking points and the low entry online tourneys also earning ranking points is there any chance the stud omaha and razz events can be redesignated ranking events

After all it is an Amateur Ranking Championship is it not rather than an Amateur No Limit Ranking Championship surely.

My attempt to get these as ranking events has nothing to do with my paltry 9 ranking points so far this season

I would second that.  I think it would be good to recognise other forms of poker and give them the same standing in the ranking points.

Even if I don"t really play anything other than NLHE.  ;)

We may look to add the Regional ranking points structure to these events.  Good suggestion.

That"s not really much of a challenge though is it?

Hi Des & team

Can you please clarify what time these tourneys will be played?

If it"s evening (which is suspect it maybe) I am going to work in Reading that week and get the train into London each night.

Cheers

Pete.

Agree that these events should carry points, but the points should be determined by number of entrants.

Was there any answer to this?

I was hoping to go to the Omaha game and would like to know some details of the event start time  finish time, (expected), starting stack and blind structure?

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

We are just finalising our thoughts on whether we should put these events on sale earlier than scheduled to allow more planning time for players.  We"ll agree that next week and should be able to get the event details published at that time.
