Wonder why? With Genting (associated) one would assume that this would not be an issue.

Was saddened to hear this news, I guess the exes are just too high in this part of town. Can"t see it being turned into a casino as it is not really big enough, but would be happy to be wrong, as long as it has as good a poker room as the fox was.

There are Genting employees who definitely seem to think it"s going to be re-furbished and re-opened as a casino; but nothing"s been officially confirmed on that front yet.

The club may be closed but the location will be refurbished and reborn in Spring 2013 as an exciting new Genting venue

From Fox facebook page:

All players funds have been transferred to Cromwell Mint Poker in Kensington including deposits. promotional tournament tokens and players will also be able to redeem any outstanding Fox cash chips.

The Genting Poker Big Game will move from the Fox to the Genting Casinos Cromwell Mint in January along with the monthly £400 entry monthly Main Event that has become a fixture on the UK poker calendar.

The BLUFF EUROPE MAGAZINE Cardroom at the Genting Casino Cromwell Mint hosts evening tournaments at 7:30pm ranging from £40 to £70 and cash games starting from £1-£2 blinds. We look forward to welcoming Fox members to the Mint or other venues including The Palm Beach Casino in Mayfair which has a high stakes poker room with nightly cash games from £5-£10 blinds upwards.

From Fox News :

No mention at all about the club closing.  Call themselves a 24hr rolling news channel dedicated to all things Fox ?

Very disappointing.
