This may be a stupid question (but thought I better check any way) regarding the player registration on Saturday. I know from the briefing that it opens at 12.00 and APAT are encouraging early registration but I live quite nearby and wasn"t intending to turn up until about 13.30 so I just wanted to check what time we have to register by.

Hi hun, encouragement for early registration is more for the ones who have not registered for a membership of the casino. If you already have a membership for the casino then I would imagine a 1:30pm arrival shouldnt be so bad with kick off not til 2:30

Thanks Mary, much appreciated

yw :) i don"t intend to turn up til then either hehe im only 5 mins away also

regarding the registration, i know the briefing says players have to be seated for 2.15, it also says players dont have to be seated for 2.30 if they leave the casino.
can someone clarify this please. I assumed like previous Apat games that you do need to be seated for 2.30

With the new legislation (since September last year I think), you don"t have to be seated at the start for poker tournaments in the UK - and that goes for APAT tournaments as well.
So you can turn up late, and you"ll be able to take your seat and your chips (your stack will have been blinded away as if you were seated and folding every hand).
It"s best to be there, and be seated before the start so that you can hear all the announcements (such as when the breaks will be, etc.) and also so you can settle in and get your mind ready for the poker.
So if you"re late for whatever reason, you can still play. If you aren"t going to be able to make it though you should contact APAT ASAP, otherwise you"ll be entered into the tournament, it"ll cost you your £75 entry, and you"ll be denying someone else a chance to play.
