I don"t think anyone noticed Steve, you got away with it.

With ninja edit skills like that, we should consider making you a mod.  Only problem is no one has enough time to remove all the BCPC related comments from the mods board first  ;D

Thanks for the shout out Steve. I was really pleased with my game on Day 1 especially as I had two professional players John Eames and Lee Taylor on my table and an online pro for most of the day.
Looking forward to Day 2 Saturday, and can do the Apaters proud.

My Main Event experience was definitely a game of two halves. It was my local casino and I have built up a good reputation in recent months.
On Day Two I made a couple of poor decisions that cost me. I don"t know why. Maybe I was overconfident, maybe I was nervous at the prospect of winning it outright. I had a lot of well wishers from the regs and all the staff and I didn"t sleep much the night before which is unusual for me. Whatever it was I don"t have any bad beat stories or card dead stories, I wasn"t on my "A" game and got what I deserved.
Contrast that with my game on Day 1a it was worlds apart. I can"t remember making one mistake all day apart from a small bet sizing error which didn"t cost me much. I was raising at the right time, three betting at the right time and made a couple of great lay downs. My concentration level was high and I was mentally drained at the end of level nine. I was the player that nobody wanted at the table and built up a healthy stack to finish the day second in chips. Day two there was a different dynamic to the table with the tournament chip leader (who had 210k compared to my 87k) sat two seats to my right. A talented young player sat to my left who has great HM stats and has reached the final table with a good chance of taking it down. Don"t get me wrong I"m not making excuses and I know I can compete at this level but I didn"t adjust today and became the player other players wanted at the table.
Someone said to me you don"t become a bad player overnight from being a good player after one bad day. It has made me feel better after feeling disappointed.

Anyway VWP Brian you played to your image really well. I was rooting for you all the way once the local players had gone out early.
It was great to meet you in person. You are obviously comfortable at this level and have nothing to fear. I would have no hesitation in staking you if you decided to play more bigger buy-ins.

Thanks for that Craig, didn"t think my Aj was good in that spot on Day 1, as for day 2 won my flip earlyish the rest was plain sailing, it wasn"t if I had premiums either just took decent spots, it"s good to play in a game were people actually fold, sometimes frustrating when you want the call though, at these levels it is a lot harder to get chips off people.

John Eames to my left wasn"t ideal on the first day but I was really impressed with his demeanour and presence at the table, no attitude at all was willing to talk and did his profession proud, although when he started talking about $200k swings in mtts I felt  a bit sheepish when I have a moan about not cashing in my last 20 mtts and a downswing of $500, different worlds, hope to make Nottingham at the end if the month may see you there.

Very well done for getting so deep Craig!  I had hoped to play in the qualifier for this last Sunday, but the wife insisted on going away on holiday (sigh).  Still there are another couple of GUKPT events coming up in the North West later this year, which I should be able to have a punt at.  (APAT take note!!).

You would be very welcome at the big event in Edgworth Cricket Club on a Thursday evening by the way  :)
