Hand Action :
Table 12 -
Barry Simpson and Stuart Baker get involved in a pot - on a flop of 745 Stuart raises Barry"s lead out bet and Barry folds, meaning Stuart takes about a 30k pot
On Table 13, Paul Taylor raises Ellen Gascoine"s BB to 6200 - she defends. Flop comes down KTQ - Ellen fires out 10k which is enough for Paul to muck his hand.

thats the way to do it nellie dont be bullied by big stacks

Just after we lost Ross Patman in 34th, Vikrum Mehta goes over the top of Ian Gascoigne"s flop bet on J57 board
Ian insta calls - and tables JJ - which is crushing Vik"s QJ. Drawing slim to say the least, the board doesnt improve for Vikrum and he exits in 33rd place.

Vikrum Mehta

Andy McBean out in 32nd. Going all in over the top of a 7k raise for his remaining 23k, Andy tables Ac Jd and finds his opponent with Kc Js. A Kd on the board sent Andy to the rail.
-
Ben Burnhill eliminated - after Chris Webber opens for 6.5k, Ben decides to shove with his AK.....unfortunatey Chris is sat pretty with AA....and although a flush draw develops for Ben, it doesnt get there, and we lose Ben.

Ian Gascoigne takes a decent pot from Matt Roberts with a 25k bet on a Q2T board, after Matt had raised pre flop, Ian repopped and Matt called.

eliminations happening in rapid succession in the Main Event :
first Clare Duffy exits Table 14
then Gavin Jones departs
then Derek Watson is forced to shove with ATC - just happens to be J6 - and cant improve, so he exits in 28th

Few dramatic hands -
firstly Ellen Gascoine shoves all in for 42k over the raise of 8k bet of Jonathan Walker....the blinds fold and Jonathan eventually folds.....it was a good job he did when he did as Michelle on the rail was having palpitations with Ellen all in!! At least i think they were palpitations...
Then Matt Roberts has a decision for his tourney life to make and feels it very unjust when the clock is called on him. The pressure seems to make him more resolved to call - which he does, showing QJ against the 99 of Vasos Michael. The board is kind and runs out 4KQ86 and Matt doubles thru Vasos, who now has a pittance left.
Paul Taylor raises pre flop to 8200 - both Chris Webber and Osaretin Ubebe call - but both fold to his c-bet of 17k on a Kd 7d 10h flop
-
Tony Trippier exits the tournament - shoving all in with KK, he gets called by the AQ of Stuart Baker....an Ace in the window spells the end for Tone who departs in 26th...another close but no cigar performance. His day will surely come soon.

Bucking follocks........
Tony bubbles AGAIN when playing for the BCPC....UL again Mr T (I know how it feels...I had same scenario in Goliath and guy flopped and rivered a Q!)
At least you won the last-longer (taking £130 out of Laura"s handbag)
Now come on Mr Redfern...a BCPC APAT win has been absent for a while.

congrats to all who have cashed especialy nellie gascoigne lovely lady fully deserved imo
-
sorry, Tony was eliminated in 26th place - the bubble popped for Vasos Michael, who has been a torment for players all the way through - but his luck ran out to the benefit of Dwayne Stacey, who had raised to 10k to which Vasos in the BB called.
Flop is TAQ
Vasos checks, Dwayne bets, Vasos shoves, Dwayne calls.
Vasos shows Q9 - Dwayne T6
Turn is a King.......River is a 6 and Dwayne sends Vasos to the rail.

Mike Scothern down in 24th - his shove for 35k running headlong into the AA of Dwayne Stacey

Sad news....Ellen Gascoine is eliminated in 23rd place.
Her shove with KT was looking good when Jonathan Walker called with J9....but a cruel 9 materialised on the board and sends Nellie spinning to the rail.
Jon Walker now public enemy number 1!!!

-
Jonathan Walker wins a big pot - taking a huge chunk of chips from James Edwards, as his JT gets there with all the chips in the middle against KJ...the board running out J9Q78
-
How"s Tony getting on?
-
Good Luck to Antony Spillings every one rooting for you from Frome Poker Group..
-
Just had a quick break at the end of L15 - a few of the bigger chip stacks in play :
Barrie Cullen - 197k
Antony Spillings - 184k
Dwayne Stacey - 240k
Steve Mooney - 270k
Stuart Baker - 134k
Matt Roberts - 170k
Chris Webber - 130k
-
Gary Phillips down - his pocket 6 running into TT and KJ - the King of Andrew Cowl eventually prevailing to send Gary out.

unlucky nellie well done
-
Chris Webber and Paul Taylor clash in the hand of the tournament so far - nearly 300k in the middle as Chris tables KK with Paul having AQ.
The board runs out Ac Qc Jc...and yes, Chris did have the Kc...
Turn the 3c, which locks up the hand for Chris....but the table erupt as the river brings the 10c to give Chris the Royal Flush - and also what is pretty much the chip lead.
-
Chris Hiam down in 21st - the AQ of Mark Porter being too good for Chris"s A8.
Chris Hiam
-
James Edwards down.....when Antony Spillings raises to 16k, Brendan Byrne shoves a/i over the top, James Edwards also announces all in, and Antony, who has them both covered, also calls.
James has AQ - but both Antony and Brendan have AK.
The board offers James some hope, as it runs 5674...but a blank on the river means James goes and Brendan/Antony chop his stack and the blinds betwee them

Update on the Heads Up.
In round three, Warren Jones beat Matthew Dent and Roger Wright beat Michael Perry, so it"s Jones versus Wright in the first quarter final.
Dan Patten beat Vikrum Mehta and Jack Stokes beat Nick Clayton to reach the second quarter final.
In the lower half of the draw, the last 16 is still being played. Raj Dhiri is taking on Neil Sillick, with the winner to play the winner of Dane Tallon and Lee Hyde in the third quarter final.
Finally, at the bottom of the draw, Andrew Larwood has just beaten Rory Laidlaw to reach the fourth quarter final, where he will play the winner of Carla Goddard and Marcin Rejmak.
Matches are played over a single game, but that will move to best of three games for the semi finals and medal matches.
-
Brendan Byrne also gone - unfortunately i missed the exit hand :(

Steve Redfern down - ran into Aces was as much as we could get out of him!
Steve goes in 18th place.....he thought, with his cash in the PLO and in todays ME, that he has equalled John Murray"s record of 13 APAT cashes....until John casually reminded him he cashed in the team event so he remains one ahead of him 14-13! I believe these are as per the Hendon Mob database of cashes.

As my boy went out a while back I"d be happy to see either Chris or Dwayne topping the charts. :)
-
David to win Heads Up...please. Then he can treat his supportive mum. ;)
-
Paul Taylor commits his stack with 22, called by Chris Webber who shows KJ - board runs A3A68 and Paul doubles through Chris.
-
A bad run of cards and flops has left Dwayne Stacey low stacked - under 100k - and he has had to build that back up.
We are just into Level 18 - blinds are now 5k/10k/1k

Go Paul ..
Team FISO for the win :)
-
Dwayne Stacey down....a rude deal sees chips flying into the middle of the table from all angles - when the dust has settled, Matt Roberts and Dwayne Stacey are all in, covered by Andrew Cunningham-Brown
Dwayne shows KK
Matt shows AJs
Andrew shows AA
Matt in desperate shape - but he manages to find a flush and stay alive - Andrew down to 120k and Dwayne down in 13th

Mark Porter making moves....
his latest pot was him raising to 20k and getting calls from Chris Webber and Paul Taylor.
The flop showed 88Q - undeterred Mark fires 28k into the middle which generates folds Chris and Paul.
-
Andrew Cunningham-brown just out in 11th position.
Playing a little over 150k, he reraised Steve Mooney all in holding Jh 3c. Mooney tanked for a while and called, showing Ac Qh.
The board didn"t help Andy and we"re now on the final table bubble.

Take out the (non-open) team events and I"d be ahead of both of em!!
-
The Heads Up is reaching the semi final stages.
Roger Wright will play Jack Stokes in the first semi final, while Marcin Rejmak is waiting to see who his opponent will be in the second semi final.
-
Paul Taylor doubles through Anthony Spillings in the main event. Tabling Ace King, Taylor found himself dominating Spillings King Queen. The first card out was an Ace.
-
Jonathan Walker and Steve Mooney clash in a tasty pot
Steve raises his button to 21k and Jonathan calls from his BB.
Flop comes 775 - Jonathan checks, Steve bets 10k, Jonathan calls.
Turn is a Q
Jonathan checks, Steve bets 15k, Jonathan calls.
River is a T
Same again...Jonathan checks, Steve bets 30k - but this time Jonathan folds
Steve shows AA.
-
Marcin FTW in heads-up
Mark FTW in main
Good luck to both ;D
-

Couldn"t disagree with this, 2 great guys and their play has been heading towards a nice win 8)
-
Unlucky Andy CB, sat with him all day yesterday, top bloke. Now come on Marcin in the HU and Bazzer in the ME, go boys!
A great couple of days at DTD, good to see some of the APAT stalwarts again.
-
We"ve just reached the final nine in the main event and our unlucky tenth place finisher is Mark Porter.
Mark"s Ace Ten failed to improve when calling Andy Cowl"s all in re-raise with pocket Jacks.
In the following hand Mark"s Ace Queen failed to hit, this time losing to the pocket fours of Chris Webber.
So we will break to one table shortly and will post a full chipcount.

Unlucky Mark.. He also had a difficult day on Saturday in the 6-max...
-
Good Luck Stuart Baker, TID newbie 7s 8h
-
not much action to report so far - table dynamic much different now and most pots being taken pre flop to a single raise
-
Matt Roberts takes the first hit - his 44 losing out to the AJ of Stuart Baker - chips going in pre flop - an Ace saving Stuarts bacon
-
Come on Ginge! You can do it 2c 4c!
The Essex crew are rooting for you :-)
-
Pilchard poker FTW!!!!!
-
Unlucky Mark, your time is just around the corner fella, wp.
-
Barry Simpson jams over the top of Stuart Bakers pre flop raise and gets it through to improve his position
-
Stuart Baker = Ginge btw lol :-)
-
Matt Roberts down in 9th place - when short stacked he made the play but ran into the AK of Paul Taylor - no saving 6 for Matt and he departs the FT.

-
Straight after that we lose Jonathan Walker in 8th place - his T6 losing out to the A4 of Antony Spillings...his flush draw not getting there and its handshakes all round for Jonathan.

-
Your welcome :D , Marcin sealed his semi final victory in the final hand with a9 out flopping Neil Sillicks pocket fours
-
Antony Spillings makes a charge :
Barry Simpson raises to 32k - to which Antony re pops to 122k. Barry doesnt like it and folds...Antony shows KK
Next hand, folded rund to Antony who raises to 48k - Stuart Baker calls from the BB and we go to the flop which is T85.
Antony bets 100k, Stuart announces all in and Antony insta calls - flipping JJ. Stuart winces and shows 99 - the turn and river cant help Stuart and he is down in 7th place.

Come on Spills...
-
A flurry of pre flop all ins from shorter stack Andrew Cowl and Barry Simpson have got through to keep them well in the game - current stacks are (approximates)
Anyony Spillings 940k
Chris Webber 620k
Barry Simpson 230k
Andrew Cowl 120k
Steve Mooney 200k
Paul Taylor 570k
-
C"mon Barry
-
Barry Simpson doubles through Paul Taylor - his AQ being ample to beat Paul"s Q4.
Barry up to nearly 500k now.
-
Paul Taylor has been active in hands - especially calling raises and all ins - when Chris Webber raises all in from the SB he decides to make the call with A4.....but groans audibly when Chris flips AJ.
The board is nowhere near a 4 and we lose Paul Taylor in 6th place.
Chris now vying with Antony for the chip lead.

carnage hand....
Chris Webber raises to 41k pre flop, Antony calls, Andrew Cowl calls.
Flop comes Q89
Antony and Andrew check, Chris bets 56k
Antony raises to 130k
Andrew announces all in
Chris laments - but only momentarily as he folds.
Antony calls and shows AQ
Andrew tables 88
Turn is a 4, river an Ace and Andrew Cowl wins a huge pot and doubles through - right back in the tournament now.
Chris declares he folded KK.....
-
Heads Up update :
Jack Stokes has beat Neil Sillick to win the bronze medal
Marcin Rejmak is 1-0 up on Roger Wright
-
Steven Mooney had been very quiet at the Final Table - clearly card dead and he eventually jams his stack from the SB position into Chris Webbers BB who makes the call
Steven shows T9
Chris shows QT
Board runs out 22AK8 and we lose Steven in 5th place

Players on a break - chip counts :
Chris Webber 1.1m
Barry Simpson 385k
Antony Spillings 663k
Andrew Cowl 622k
-
C"mon Chris 8)
-
the break has done Antony no favours it seems :
first hand back and he raises to 60k from the SB - Andrew Cowl shoves all in from the BB and Antony folds.
Next hand Antony raises to 64k from the button - this time Chris Webber defends
flop comes AKQ - Chris checks, Antony bets 64k, Chris calls.
turn is a K - Chris checks, Antony bets another 64k, Chris calls.
river is a 9 - Chris bets 64k, Antony calls.
Chris shows KJ to take the pot - Antony flips his Ace.
-
Barry gives all at the LBPN a big thumbs up!!!!
-
Come on Robin, get it won!!
-
Roger levels things up in the Heads Up final - now playing the decider.
-
Antony and Chris having their own little war here, with bets - both pre and post flop, seemingly only being 62k!
Antony recovers a chunk of his stack from Chris - who then immediately takes some back!
-
Barry gets his chips in the middle with JJ against the 77 of Chris Webber - and his Jacks hold - Barry doubling thru Chris
-
tournament has gone back in to its shell now - blind swapping and walks aplenty now.....Barry Simpson is now the chip leader with the other three fighting it out
-
and as soon as i say that theres an all in and a call!
Andrew Cowl all in and called by Barry Simpson - Andrew has AA, Barry AK - the Aces hold.
Its all now very close between the 4!
-
Barry doubles through Chris - K8 v J8 on a 85A43 board - 399k was Barry"s stack - Chris now low stacked
-
Chris Webber down in 4th - after losing to Barry, he shoves with KJ but is called by the AQ of Antony - and amazingly, not long after having nearly half the chips in play, Chris is gone in 4th.

The decider in the Heads Up is still ongoing.....
-
Hopefully not a bok; but Baz & Marcin FTW!!!!!
-
Antony raises to 82k from the button - Barry calls from the BB
flop : KQ2
Barry checks, Antony bets, Barry folds - Antony flips a KIng
-
Barry picks up the blinds - checked down to river after limp/check - Queen high good
-
Andrew and Barry get a walk.
Andrew raises from button - both fold
-
Well played yet again Chris.....and "Unlucky"
Stringing together a good run of results!
Seemingly always in the mix
VWD
Ian
-
Barry shoves from the SB - Antony folds
-
Barry takes another set of blinds/antes with a button shove
Just under 10 mins left of L23 - L24 is 25k/50k/4k
-
Antony takes a set of blinds - then gives Andrew a walk.
-
Andrew raises to 110k from the button
Antony shoves from the BB
Andrew passes
-
Marcin Rejmak wins the Heads Up Championship!
-
Didn"t bok that one, 1 from 2, come on Bazza lad!!! Nice one Marcin!
-
Nice one Marcin, great result 8)
-
Well deserved Marcin, after your sick beat yesterday, great effort to win the HU today. :) Now come on Barry!
-
Antony raises to 134k - Barry calls.
Flop is QJ4 - both check
Turn is a Q
Antony bets 134k - Barry folds
-
Andrew raises to 130k from the button - Barry shoves all in - Andrew folds.
-
Barry wins a huge pot - turning broadway that Antony couldnt find a fold to, having the low straight.
Antony not exactly in dire straights - but definitely the low stack now
-
Chip counts if poss please?
-
some odd sized bets being made...
-
Antony Spillings down in 3rd - he raises from the SB to 120k, Andrew goes all in, Antony is pretty much forced to call
Antony shows KJ
Andrew shows A5
board is dry for Antony with only a Queen materialising that even remotely resembles a King or Jack...and he goes in third place

Only a few hands into the Heads up battle, both players found highly playable cards with which to commit...
Andrew tables Ah 10h
but Barry tables an even better Kd Kc
Andrew needs to improve to stay in the game...but the board is about as low as you can get, running 85435 and after a count to be double sure, Barry is declared our new Champion!
-

After some much huffing and puffing, yo-yo-ing of our stacks and 7 levels of round 1 poker (400/800) - he decided to shove his K-J into my Q-T... Flopping 2 pairs had to be the worst outcome for me as he only went and rivered a straight! Lucky Get... Great day though :D - will definitely play again.

Paul Taylor has been active in hands -especially calling raises and all ins - when Chris Webber raises all in from the SB he decides to make the call with A4.....but groans audibly when Chris flips AJ.
The board is nowhere near a 4 and we lose Paul Taylor in 6th place.
Just got home and read this and had to laugh. I"m not sure what game you were watching, but it can"t have been the one I was playing as before my bustout hand I hadn"t called a single preflop raise at the final table and had only called one allin. I can appreciate it can be difficult to follow the action sometimes, but the bolded part of the quote is superfluous and inaccurate.
That little whinge aside, thanks to the organisers for a great tournament and congrats to Barry on the win - and of course all the other medallists..

poorly worded Paul in the heat of the moment with all manner of things going on mate - no offence intended to yourself or your game - i guess i more meant as you were table chippy going into the FT you found yourself faced with more action etc - but apologies for the hasty words that i acknowledge gave a false impression of events.

Obviously no offence taken, Mark. I just felt a little misrepresented and wanted to protect my image as a nit, which I"d spent long hours building up :) Thanks for the apology, much appreciated.

TBF to Steve John has played in every Irish team there is since 1922...
TBF to John, he has made a very significant points contribution in each and every one of those events ;D

Just getting around to reading all the threads fully.
Huge congratulations to Marcin Rejmak on winning the HU and to Barry Simpson for taking down the Main. Dead chuffed for the both of you and great to see established APAT regs taking gold medals in the individual events.
