Quick reminder, that this continues tonight!

Also, what about the possibility of seat only satellites. Some of the entrants are likely to have accomodation booked already.

Thanks all.
I"ll set up a "Seat Only" and "Package" final, with "step 1" satellites running into each.
There"s not going to be time to run them next week now, so will look to get them set up for 18th > 24th November.
If anyone else has any views, please post away!

I"d rather see feeders into the super sat on the same day, scrimp on the structure if you have to, but getting it done and dusted from start to finish would be a bonus for me (not that I can play them!). Make a day or two in the week "satellite day", promote it and stick to it rather than saturating the schedule with daily feeders.
And 10pm, waayyyy too late.

Are these going ahead this week?

Problem with this, is any time before 10pm and LPPL players complain that it"s waayyyy too early. Very hard to find a time that upsets the least amount of people.

Recent satellites have been so badly supported (North American, Scotland, Ireland, etc, etc. - both for the live and online events) that I wasn"t sure there was any point?...

Would imagine there would be some interest for those going to Prague though.

I think that"s because they are being run too late in relation to the event. In the early days the satellites were the first chance to get a seat at these events so quite a lot of people would have a go. Nowadays they are only a week or two before the event so, like Tom says, the only people interested are those who are already committed to going.

Those sats were for online games, surely those already planning to travel to Prague would be interested in this?

They were for live too.
The satellites for ECOAP I ran last time were really badly supported too.
But okay, will set some up. Have just had a million and one APAT things to do recently. It"s hard finding time to get everything sorted.

Cheers Matt ;D

This is a great point, has to be worth testing the waters with some early Sats.
Edit: By early I mean in advance of event seats going on open sale.

Aye, I"ve no problem at all with setting satellites up for 8pm/8.30pm or any time really. Was just making the point that if I put them at 10pm APAT players complain they are too late. If I put them at 8pm, LPPL players complain they are too early, so it"s impossible to please both sets of players.
This set of satellites will be at the earlier time (most likely 8pm). Hopefully they will be supported better than the 10pm satellites were.

8s a great time, got the kids settled and the missis watching " I"m a celebrity with the xtra factor come dancing on ice " and I still get a good nights sleep after getting knocked out 35 mins later!! ;D

The thing is, people play sats for the GUKPT, UKIPT, etc to have a chance of getting into something they wouldn"t usually play. For most people, £75 (or even £100) is affordable, so their participation in an APAT event is not dependent on winning a seat. So they"re not that bothered whether they play them or not. That"s what the thing is. I often play the satellites, but mainly cos I enjoy them and can have a chat with some of the guys.
PS - When is the ECOAP freeroll? I"m not missing that.
