Well played Paul well deserved, and a nice Silver for Jim. A terrific APAT weekend, and a great result personally, absolutely delighted to pick up my first Live APAT medal :)
Thanks for all the railing, both on here and other media, it was very much appreciated, shame I just couldn"t bring it home.
Big thanks to Tom and Dave and the rest of his team for the smooth running of the event, and also the casinio staff, particularly Michelle and Jack, who were great.
Also thanks to John Murray for his commentary, a truly remarkable stint at the microphone, my wife says she likes your voice! ;)
-
A great poker weekend to report..met loads of new folks, made new buddies...great craic n some good poker was played,in great spirit...well done to all the medalists....great organisation also from apat/lppl...and i hope this goes from strength to strength....just cant cross the FT barrier...cant complain though 13th for moi.
-
Congratulations Mike on your medal winning performance! :) There were some incredible all-ins, that were very entertaining to listen to with the inimitable John Murray on the commentary (a stellar performance from him I reckon, would love to see more of the same).
Massive congratulations to Paul for Gold, and Jim for Silver. Was an absolute epic see-saw marathon of a headsup, with some incredibly crazy run-outs on the board (if anyone ever tells me that online poker is fixed again I will think they are mad! Live is so much worse! ;) :P ).
Great play from all 3, and from everyone who final tabled. Great to see a large number of LPPL players make the journey, and Steve, Scott and Joe all make the final table! Impressive stuff all round :)
For those that want to enjoy more poker this weekend, don"t forget we have the online legs of the Scottish Amateur Poker Championship for you, kicking off Saturday at 8pm (with satellites running from Thursday night). Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Really happy to have won an APAT event and gold medal :)
Congratulations on getting your first live APAT medal too, Mike; hope the drive home wasn"t too bad!
Also thanks again to Tom and everyone involved in running the event; I had a great time and had my fair share of good luck and bad, inflicting a few bad beats along the way and suffering a few myself :)

Seasoned APAT regs were thin on the ground this weekend but great to chat to the likes of Grant, Suze, Naz, Brian, Ben, Tom and Duffy (sorry for calling you "Clare") :D
Thanks go to Tom and the APAT team at the venue for all your efforts and to John Murray for what was a very entertaining commentary for the FT ;)
Congrats to Paul and Jim for the gold and silver but special mention goes to Mike Scothern for the bronze... after recently securing the title of "Season 7 LBPN Champion" and now back-to-back Main Event cashes with another individual APAT medal, that England call-up must surely be just around the corner.
-
Are the medal photos any where Tom?

I hear he"s had a coveted Interleague call-up. That"s even better in my book :D
-
Well done to everyone. Twas a good weekend as always and some great poker and banter flowing.
P.S. Where are all the photos/videos of the weekend gonna be for a viewing?

Your forgiven poppet :)
Totally agree with your comments about Tom and his team! Sterling job! Looking forward to Prague!!
-
Thank you all for a fab weekend, tourney was really well run and really enjoyed myself :-)
-
Well done to all the medallists and everyone who cashed. A great weekend was had, even though my exit on Sunday stung for quite a while. Friday night pre-tourney was a blast and Saturday was one of the most enjoyable days of poker I"ve ever had, great fun at and away from the table with some brilliant people. Always a pleasure to meet up with all the regs and happy to now know many others, especially those I knew from online previously, always good to put faces to usernames.
Huge thanks to Tom & the APAT team, along with Michelle & The Alea team for a well run event. Look forward to doing it all again soon (unfortunately not Prague :( )
-
Fantastic weekend :)
Met so many friendly people and already looking forward to next years leg ;D
