Thankfully I"m not the skeptical, suspicious type, otherwise I might misread the organisers motives surrounding the "November Nine" idea.......

Don"t agree with the November Nine to be honest -- but hey it"s their tourney, and as luck would have it I"m booked for Vegas 6th - 13th November so I can go and have a peek at the final table.

have been readin various articles bout this, there quite a good one on espn poker. its great for viewers to be able to watch the run up to the final table before it starts, but its just plain weird to have such a break if your in the tournie. especially if ur a foreigner travellin to the vegas for the event and then havin to return for the final table.

what you think APATers should we having the final table of our National Events a few months after the tournie begins  ??? i think not!

Regardless, 117 days is not enough time to turn Richie Cunningham into Allen Cunningham.

LOLd at this ;D

When the biggest bubble boy in poker history is eliminated in tenth place on July 14, the remaining nine players will take a 117-day break before returning to play the final table.

Do you think play might tighten up close to the bubble lol  ;D

I have been called "billybubbleboy" a few times, but could you imagine havin to be this bubble boy ouch!!...although im sure the cash from 10th place would make it a little easier...still!! :"(

I could deconstruct it - but I really can"t be bothered.

Some good arguments, some good arguments with holes in.

I"ll stick to my main problem with this plan - it won"t work.

More specifically I think the extra marketing budget they throw at the first year of this change will increase the audience enough for them to keep it - but then it will slide down again.

As a player it harms your chances of winning, as a viewer - it"s irrelevant unless you can get ESPN.

Specifically from a British point of view, I see very little benefit for any us.

Personally, I think delaying the final table like this just sucks. In long game tournament play, I will try and move up through the gears as the game progresses such that when/if I get deep in the money I will have optimum momentum. By the time I make a final table I have earned respect for my raises, and have generally established decent reads of my opponents...... to then have to wait 4 months to finish the game is daft, and only serves to benefit the weaker players. All momentum will be lost (potentially along with any lucky streak that you rode into the final table on!)

WSOP ME is already an impossible tournament to predict a winner for as the best players have to pick their way through so many luckboxes along the way. Most Pro"s will say that the ME is a great event, but one that is increasingly hard to win..... and this change will just serve to even out the odds further in favour of the weaker players.
