John Murray makes his usual imperious entrance and joins the fray........

Hand between the Glacier Cold Mint Trav and Denis Philips.....we join it at 4th street :
John showing 6d 8d with Denis showing Kh 6c....Denis checks, John bets 150, Denis raises to 300, John calls.
5th street brings John 10d and Denis 9h - Denis bets 300, John calls
6th street brings John 4s, Denis 2c - both check
7th street Denis bets 300 blind, John raises to 600, Denis calls blind - John shows a diamond flush to Denis"s two pair K6 - the river completing John"s flush
-
Playing Warrens Stud tactic badly. Play every hand
-
Matt "SugarFree" Carter wins a decent pot - Bill Fenn the main contributor to the pot. It ended uncontested as Matt's river bet was enough for Bill to fold - Matt's board cards showing 6s 8s Qc 4s
-
Krystof Prekowski down in the Stud
-
John Murray loses a big pot - his AQJ83 flushing losing to a AQJ87 flush.........he is down to around 6k now and checking the train schedules back to Portsmouth
-
down to 18 in the Stud - Dave "Batman" Howard out along with Khalid Ademi...one more also who was unrecorded.

You meant 28 right mark?
-
Yes...a little wishful thinking there....it is/was 28 remaining.......
Might be down to 18 by 2am........ ::)
-
Warren Jones departs the scene....a big chance here for Chris Webber to take advantage and move atop the Player of the Year Leaderboard.........he is sat in good shape.....slightly slouched as usual - but with a decent stack of around 15k

Peter has just lost a big pot to Fred - nicely waiting for me to nip to the gents before playing it out!
Peter now down to about 70k as Fred takes the lead.
Currently on 6/12/1500 with a 1500 bring in
-
Peter fighting back as he takes down three successive pots all without showing
-
Ashley gets them in with KJJT showing against Fred"s 3456 - Fred having 75 for the straight against the K6 of Ashley. The river can"t save him and we lose Ashley Brett in 3rd.
Heads up between Peter Stoneman and Fred Bekker for the Stud Championship.
Ashley Brett presented with his Stud Championship Bronze Medal:
-
Fred takes the lead HU as his open JJTT surpasses Peters pretty looking AK64 with three diamonds
-
Just been joined by Andrew "Giddy" Perendes....author of best selling book "Life is a Gamble" which he tells me is being made into a film.....very nice and interesting guy
-
Status quo being maintained here"s the guys seem to be taking a pot down each. Looks like it"s needing King Kong and Godzilla to materialise to finish this one off
-
Fred just seems to bet getting the upper hand on Peter
-
We have a winner!
A great battle between the two but in the end it was Fred Bekker who prevailed, his 6th street flush seeing off the straight held by Peter Stoneman.
Fred takes the £625 first place cash, the bling and the title of the APAT 2014 WCOAP Stud Champion!
Peter Stoneman being presented with his Stud Championship Silver Medal:
Fred Bekker our WCOAP 2014 Bracelet and Gold Medal Winning Stud Champion:

Seems the only thing I got right in this event was predicting a 4am finish
