Updated with entrant names/numbers as at 14 Apr 14:25

Level 2, just 1 hour in, imagine 8-handed, ante 50 so 400 in the pot, stacks of 15K and it"s 25 to limp in. This is going to be weird/fun/sick/technical ;D
And I was concerned it won"t be over in time for HORSE - no such worries now ;)
-
Yea this looks like its going to be alot of fun! ;D
-
50 runners seems a bit on the low side will there be any LATE ENTRY/ALTERNATES ???
-
Underway for the most anticipated and talked about structure of the week so far......discussions about literally every aspect of this event have been held with passion and fervour.....but what isnt in question is it will be fun and frenetic!
Will get the names of the brave souls who have bought into this event as soon as the casino can provide them.
-
2 down already.....Team Gotham stalwarts Batman and Robin!
-
47 players are taking part...so far....late reg is available for the first 90 minutes of play
-
2 down already.....Team Gotham stalwarts Batman and Robin!
Two of the last to bust last night, first today. The life of a Team Gotham stalwart!!!
-
Level is now 75 ante with 25 bring in. Play so far seems to be that players are bringing in for minimum to get to the flop then some bets of substance post flop. Orange chips (1k) flying around and already some decent towers are starting to rise !

Under!!!!
-
David Garden opens up for 400, Don Roberts calls, Tom Lane repops to 1200 - David folds but Don makes the call.
Flop comes down 7s 6d 9s - Don thinks for a little while and jams his remaining 7225 into the middle....Tom doesnt like it at all but has to call with his KK....though it leaves him shrapnel behind.
Don shows 8d 8h.
Turn is an immediate killer for Tom.... 8c.....river no help either as it fills Don up being 7c.
Cruel turn of events...and a few hands later, Tom departs the event. Had a flush draw on the flop that meant his remaining 1k went in, but couldnt get there.

37/50 players remaining - current ante is 150 with a bring in of 50
average 26k

Murray Minted!!
John Murray raises the bring to 600, which is re raised by Marcus Bremner to 1800. John"s nose twitches like a bunny as he tries to polarize Marcus"s range....reaches deep for chips - maybe looking for a reaction, but flats.
The flop brings a 8d-As-7d to the board.
John checks, Marcus wastes little time reaching for his stack, grabbing 3600 and sliding them forward with deliberation. John looks to see what Marcus has behind - approximately another 10k - and again calls.
The turn brings an innocent looking 4s.
John checks...Marcus again quickly slides his remaining stack forward but is met by John"s greater stack, his call a nano-second behind Marcus"s bet.
John flips over 77....Marcus muttering an expletive as he tosses AK in the direction of the muck.
The river is a complete non event and John Murray eliminates Marcus Bremner - taking his stack to a very impressive 40k.

Chip counts/updates from table JP/Asa please Mark!
JP - 16k
Asa - 23k
Both looking happy enough with life - sat next to each other which may account for some of that!
-
Dann Williams down - taken out by Simon Fuller - K7 for Dann not being able to improve against AK - the fact that pretty much every player at the table had mucked either a 7 or a K meant that Dann would do very well to improve at all.
His stack had been previously decimated when his opponent hit runner runner for a gutshot straight with 85, with Dann holding A4.
Oops.

Asa McGrath gets involved with Ky Hutchinson........already a substantial pot as I join the action with the board showing Q472 and Asa having the decision to call/raise or fold to the bet of 5500 by Ky.....
He calls.
The river brings an Ace......Asa slowly checks, but that has no effect on Ky who shoves with gusto.
Asa looks resigned as he folds, saying that was the worst of rivers.....Ky says that was the best of rivers as he flips J5 and rakes the pot.......

-
The elimination of Silvia Vaquero means we are down to 27/50 in the Antes only - antes now 250 with a 50 bring in.
Meanwhile, Don Roberts takes down another huge pot - from being on the brink of elimination when his 88 cracked KK - his 6k river bet being folded in two places meaning that Don rakes another monster pot.

Rick Baker - one of the tournament chippies with 20 remaining
-
Asa McGrath and Denis Philips down to leave us with 18.......
Then JP Seal and Vincent Eley get involved and the chips go in with JP Seal needing his TT to hold up against the QJs of Vincent.
And it looks promising as the flop reveals a Ten....but a King on the turn signals danger for JP.....
And the Seal is clubbed as a 9 on the river gives Vincent the straight and sends JP spinning to the rail in 17th

John Murray down in 10th taken out by Rick Baker who had AA in answer to Johns 33
-
This event has proved very popular with the players - looks like it"s here to stay!
-
Steve Jones down in 9th.
Hitting a set of 8s on the flop clearly not enough to beat Paul Graces AK.....Paul getting more runners than a marathon to overtake the set with a K high spade flush
-
Andrea Canli making a charge taking two big chunks out of leader Vincent Eley
-
Chris Austin down in 8th the chips go in on a raggy looking 7d 3h 2d board with Chris having Ad Jd calling the all in shove of Ky Richardson who held 9h 9s.
The nines held and Chris exits the FT
-
Antes now up to 1000 with a bring in of 100
-
JP Round all in and called by paul grace
44 v JJ
jack on flop seals JPs exit and he is bubble boy
-
Action been slow for last level or since JP departed all players are well stacked and pots taken down by large bets pre.
Antes now up to 1200 with a 200 bring in.
-
Ky Richardson eliminates Paul Grace....Kys shove with A8s being insta called by the JJ of Paul....however Ky is running like a dream at the moment, two spades of the flop and the turn gives Ky the stone cold ones.
Paul out in 6th for £175
-
Andrea calls Carls PFR with 65....and gets there on the river to best Carl"s pocket 7.
-
Players just restarted after a 10 min break
Still 5 handed with Ky Richardson big chip lead.
Antes now 1500 with a 200 bring in
(https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-11xBMi46QV8/U0_hs9VGllI/AAAAAAAA_OA/LUzDibAKsSM/s512/IMG_8207.JPG)
Ky Richardson
-
Rick baker low stack of the table but getting plenty of respect from the table when he does make a move
-
Come on Vinny, get it won!!
-
Thanks Tom for covering the updates for me during a much needed dinner break!!
OK, the tournament has entered "grind zone"......we have lost Rick Baker, who exited in 5th - taken down by Carl Pilgrim who called with AJ when Rick tried to squeeze with T5.
So we are now 4 handed with the counts as follows :
Vincent Eley : 77,300
Ky Richardson : 296,000
Carl Pilgrim : 112,200
Andrea Canil : 263,500
Antes will by 5000 with a 400 bring in when play resumes in a few minutes
-
The tournament dynamic has totally changed - the four players are now playing really quite tight and passive....maybe now in the money has changed the perception..but its quite the grind now.
However, we have lost Vincent Eley in 4th place....Vincent had got quite low stacked - mainly at the hands of Ky Richardson - and when he turned an 8 on a QJ7 flop, he shoved his remaining 80k. However Ky was say there with J5 and made the call...the river a brick and Vincent was shaking hands.
-
A harbinger of doom me..
Carl open shoves 120k - Andrea calls it off with AK - Carl shows AQ
Flop KQxxx and we lose Mssr Pilgrim
Heads up!
Carl Pilgrim
-
Ky is slowly grinding away at Andrea but Andrea is keeping him honest with some well timed moves
-
Ky picks up QQ but can"t get any action
-
Andrea doubles thru with AJ v K8 AIPF
-
Andrea 500k v Ky 250k
-
Andrea bets 23k on a 9336Q board.....Ky shoves all in Andrea passes
-
The end could be nigh......Ky seems to be getting quite tired and a touch reckless (maybe?) and is going all in regularly.
Andrea reluctant to commit so far but surely will roll the dice soon?
-
It"s all over....Andrea raises to 24k, Ky announces all in, Andrea calls and tables TT
Ky shows KQ.
The flop is 8 high, turn a 7 and river a 4 and Andrea Canil is the APAT Antes Only Champion!
-
WP Andrea & Ky
Great event and structure.

-
Have to say that this was an excellent event. The structure, which was spot on, and tactics tested most players and this should definitely be included in future championships.
Well played to the medalists, and also to Carl, JP and John for their FT finishes.
