Just back after spending an extra day in London.

To cut a long story short - ended up 3rd for 2K.  It was an awesome night, BSQ put on an excellent show.  Free bar - the works, though I just about managed to stay off it till we made the money :-)

The event was won by one of the superheavyweights DougFreedman - defo the best player there imo - so cant complain.

Fantastic experience for me - all who are going to "The Vic" in August, it is an awesome cardroom !!!!

Thanks all,

Karl played a different game to what I wudda expected.  He was as tight as anyone I"ve seen, until the antes started when he rasied and won the 1st 2 pots uncontested.  I guess he was totally card dead for most of the night (only hand he showed was AA which generated respect for any raise).

Anyway, he had got low stacked with 6 left when he raised for 5 x bb leaving only 200 behind.  I noticed he hid the few remaining chips behind his hands.  Was a strange exit.  He was called preflop (after the caller & eventual winner asked how many he had behind).  The flop was of course academic, the remainder went in and d his Q3c lost confortably to AA ??  Guess the caller wanted extra action.
