Strange thing just happened.
I had decided not to go to Cardiff as all hotels I looked at seemed expensive. This afternoon I take another look at Travelodge next door and its £46 flexible for the Saturday!! I decide to book as this is much cheaper than I expected. I then check the Friday thinking it might be even cheaper but its £68 which is a bit odd. I double check the Saturday and its now £99!!
I am assuming the £46 was a mistake so I am wondering if they can change the price on the day and charge me more?

I"m no expert (travel guru rep aside) but if you"ve made the booking I think you are good.
You have a contract with them now, and you are protected.
Your mileage might vary.

Thanks Paulie, I would hope they couldnt charge me more but I cant find anything in the T&Cs to confirm it.

Have you got an email confirmation with that price?
Technically the contract isn"t finished until you hand over the cash or you use the service (I think), so if they haven"t taken the payment then they might be able to change the conditions. But if you have the reservation confirmed in writing at that price I would be surprised if they insisted on a change.
EDIT: I don"t necessarily think it"s a mistake anyway, price goes up as they run out of rooms - you might just have got lucky and booked before a mass of other people did the same.

Yes Jon I got a confirmation email and they took the cash when I booked.
I am not sure if I am going yet but at that price I could be tempted :D
