Of course he wouldn"t then again why would any Tom just be called Tom. This weekend we will have Irish Tom, Belgium Tom and Scottish Tom just to start with. It would all get very confusing if their names were all just Tom.

It"s always a difficult decision to make, but I"ll put it out there, I do think groups/forums/communities having a second team at the expense of others that have made requests (who have played and supported the event before) does seem a little unfair.
Decision made now I guess, but perhaps one to consider for future years. The event always (famous last words) sells out, so shouldn"t be an issue.

Thanks Leigh. Yeah I saw a few of those and was a little disappointed but who"s to say we"d have got in anyway? Not to worry. Fingers crossed that if a team drops out (unfortunately) we may be lucky enough to fill a place.

Was there last night... Place casino looks great now. Poker room is now very similar to the Manchester Grosvenor room with a stage, projector etc.... Gone is the smoking cage to be replaced by a "terrace"... Unfortunately dealers were terrible.

I"ve got to admit that I"m genuinely quite surprised that our request for 2 teams from LBPN was not only considered, but accepted. However, what I will say is that we have 16 players ready to go & hotel rooms booked for them all....if nothing else, we are always reliable!
Thanks for selecting us once again for what I consider to be THE ONLY team event in the UK.

Stuart has a wealth of team experience within the APAT tour, unfortunately most of that is total abject failure due to his Scottish roots.
He was very fortunate to be a part of the victorious Team APAT in this very same event back in 2010. The team captain that day even allowed him to hold the trophy for a quick photo. Whatever did happen to that guy ?
The Pokeriety appreciate all the hard work Stuart will put into selecting a winning team as much as we are sure Stuart appreciates the photos we"ve used for this announcement.
We"re looking forward to a great weekend of poker in the New Year. Bring it on !!!!!!!!

Live Pub Poker League with members from Scotland Lincolnshire and Portsmouth who have all met locally and also at National events .

I dare say that every team entered in this comp has the ability to win it - given the delivery of run-good at the critical moments. Personally, only managed to play in it once before (for the Phoenix-like Blackbelt team - GL!), but had a brilliant time & rate this event as one of the best on the social calendar.
This year I"m delighted to be playing in Carl"s APAT team. GL to all involved. Can"t wait for January - if only coz it gets another bad year behind me!t

When will payment details be available , I posted on 17th November and have had no reply .
As captain of 1 of the qualifying teams , I will be abroad from 2nd December until 23rd and want to pay Team LPPL"s and want to pay our entry before I go .

Hi,
There is a different thread that contains payment information. Payment has to be completed by one member of the team, via the Coral Poker software. It is listed in the Holding Tank. The member that makes the payment must pay the full balance of £440.00

But is there a schedule up of side games to be played the weekend of the 29th to 31st January. e.g. what"s occurring on Friday night through to Sunday?
Looking forward to the banter and Carl I"m going to be armed with Ralgex and Prosecco.

I will arrange for it to be opened again and will extend the deadline for buyin until Sun 13th Dec to allow for those who may have missed it and be away working or whatever.... will advise when up and running again...

Any how - Fandango A.K.A. Ralgex Boy look forward to the game of twister and spin the bottle and rubbing the Ralgex.
But my main question is;
IS THERE YET A LIST OF SIDE GAMES FROM THE FRIDAY TO THE SUNDAY? Or have I just missed it!

Forget side events , the main event will be the one to watch , the LPPL teams will show all you players from APAT the benefits of playing LPPL poker , if you haven"t got a venue near you , start one ask Irish Tom for details .

just a few short words from GEORDIE POKER , apologies if we spoiled peoples weekend, no excuses we tried so hard to stay of the drink until it started,but 8 friends since school, travelling to the other part of europe leaving at 6, just wasnt going to happen, we treat poker as a game and to have fun, that clock and structure were always going to beat us,joint leaders at break and to finish last,
Will not put Tom in a situation were he has to refuse us entry next year so wont be applying again, but look forward to seeing the few friends we made in newcastle , some great people and some miserable sods, but good look in the future , may all ya flops be big ones

This was my first APAT event and certainly won"t be the last. The whole weekend was excellent and both APAT and the casino should be rightly proud for delivering such an awesome event. Maybe a little more room between the tables would have been nice but that was the only minor issue.
The £5 STT at 2am this morning looked fun, not sure my liver would have coped though - you guys know how to party.
I"m now trying to rearrange my travel plans that currently mean I"m going to miss the whole of WCOAP :-(

Koyte, yes it was a shame that it (rightly) annoyed some players and affected the game for them, and had the casino and us keeping an eye on things due to one too many, but from my pov after we spoke in the casino it was handled well and Graham went to bed... nothing happened that was bad enough for the group Geordie Poker not to apply again next year... so please do.

I blame it on the cellar man at the casino for breaking from tradition and not watering down the beer.

The trick is to get spannered on the friday, on someone elses alcohol and collapse in their room, missing most of the tournament you were meant to be playing!
