had a few bad runs recently but was able to build my bankroll back up to a healthy amount
then tonight - started steaming a bit after losing some crazy hands in tourneys and Sit N Go"s
hands like when i have top pair and top kicker yet someone calls with a suited 56 with 3 to a flush and hits runners to knock me out
or on the bubble of SnG and i"ve hit 2 pair on the flop yet someone with A rag calls and hits the miracle card on the turn for a straight
love the game so much yet these things infuriate me to the point of wanting to give up
thanks for letting me vent my anger
p.s. - i know it works both ways and i"ve hit miracle cards to win hands but these clowns im losing too dont even seem to understand basic pot odds or implied odds

Was playing a live game at the weekend. This is the story of my exit.
I raise and shortstack calls, I hit trips on the flop and bet, he pushes allin for the rest of his chips and I insta-call. I show trip 9"s he shows trip J"s, turn is a blank, river card is a 9 oops. 1 outer suckout by me.
Few hands later.
Another shortstack player A pushes, I look at AK and push to isolate. He shows 45o. I hit my A but a 2 also appears, he needs a 3, river card 3. He won that but im still healthy.
Few hands later and player A has doubled up again and now has me covered.
Next hand blinds 300/600
Early position calling station limps, player A limps, Im in late position and push with 99 for about 7.5k, blinds fold, early limper folds, player A puts another 7k into the pot with KJ, and hits a K on the flop.
I smile, and tell him "well played".
The clowns are good for business, never chase them outta the game.
What do the results you describe tell you?
If you are getting frustrated you probably shouldnt be playing, take a break.
Good luck.

try limit.
Its worked for me, and NL will always be where I want to be at but shifting from NL to FR Limit has taught me a hell of a lot and I"ve found that when I do play the odd tournement/sng I am back to my strongest.

You want muppets to call when they"re huge underdogs. That how we make money from poker.

Exactly!! don"t moan when someone makes a donkey call and sucks out - just make sure you get into plenty more pots with them and be ready for lots more donkey calls - they won"t suckout every time, and long term your play against them will be +EV.
Just smile and tell them they"re very good, reload, and take their stack.

Absolutely agree with Daniel. You want the odd suck out against you, as long as you"re winning the majority. I got knocked out in London pushing with pocket 8"s, Nigel Johnson had every right to push after me with AK suited and muppetman to my right followed us both (Nigel had him well covered with chips) with J7suited (hearts, same as Nigel). Flop came JJ3, good night, you"ve been a wonderful audience! Shook the guys hand and left. Can"t tap the aquarium as Nigel or one of the others at the table then have every right to remove those chips from muppetman later (and duly confirmed this by doing so!)
Keep the muppets, we love them (well, most of the time at least)

The thing that annoys me with muppets is that when playing on line they may be only on your table for a short time. You can identify Nemo fairly quickly, but the thing is when they hit their 3 outer on the river to take you off your pocket jacks, and then play two hands and disappear to deposit their ill gotten gains! Now that does wind me up!
But as a general rule a sprinkling of fish food usually does the trick.
