Title: Possible to unregister once paid through holding tank?

Question is basically as per the title: if I reserve a seat via the holding tank, but find I cannot attend after the tanks close on Friday, can my buy-in be refunded or will I forfeit?

It's not possible to get a refund from the holding tanks once they close. If you aren't 100% sure on attending, then I'd recommend using Eventbrite to reserve a seat, then you'll only lose the small reservation fee if you can't make it, but if you can then you just pay the full buyin on the day. Costs you a small fee on top, but possibly the best way to go.

I have booked in advance for the whole festival and intend to play every day however if i make a day 2 and do not wish to multi table wont i be given a choice of deregistering. eg on the sunday it is possible that someone could be in 3 events: main day 2 ; plo day 2 and PL08

Different scenario to the OP Mark, and covered in the Player Briefing by Tom

Anyone who has pre-bought/registered into multiple overlapping events on the same day, and is still playing event 1 when event 2 starts and therefore cannot play event 2 (because they cannot as they are not allowed to multi table same '1 day' events) then they must inform MYSELF BEFORE event 2 starts to ensure a refund - and at this time their seat will be made available to others - they may of course, on departure from the first tournament, then ask to have their name added to the event reserve list.
