Congratulations to Zach Ford who has become the third APAT member in a row to win a Gala Poker Tour main event. Zach took home the trophy, as George Bedi and Neil Blatchly had previously, and a cheque for £26,000.
Well done Zach.

I saw your exit hand Paul on AWOP. Vul. The guy must have had a good read to call on the turn with A hi.
A decent run though

Hi Rob, you would think so as did I, at the time. Shook his hand gg etc. Only to be told by Ian(a local lad), that on 200/400 blinds, he"d called a 10,000 raise with :as: ts So now I"m not so sure, and i certainly wouldn"t have tried to make him lay down had i known previously. If he folds i sit on 70k+ with 25 mins b4 day 2. A good position to attack for 37k/Title and package to grand final. Perhaps inexperience forced me to be greedy(after a decent stack for day 2), instead of waiting for a much better spot. After the fact, looks quite dissapointing and bad play after 9 hours of poker. Still I had afew reasons for making the play, I"m 90%+ sure any other player at the table would have layed down, following the way that i"d been playing. Next time maybe? Still very well done again to Zach, lead all the way, big congrats.
