Post by: lukybugur on September 24, 2008, 16:01:14 PM
Odds for the above are now available at our sponsors BlueSq (http://www.bluesq.com/bet?action=go_events&type_id=3087)

I"ve placed mine;

E/W on Andy "The Mad Monk" Black and Annette "Ma Burd" Obrestad ;)  I"m considering backing Neil "Bad Beat" Channing too with my last pound or so.

Romanello out unfortunately Rob. PokerNews reports;

Welsh Wizard Disappears

Welshman Roberto Romanello pushed for a total of 11,800 in a four way pot. With the board reading {2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, Romanello managed to get past two opponents, but not Tom Dwan who swiftly made the call with {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Romanello tabled {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

On the clinical {2-Clubs}, Romanello rose from his seat and wished his opponents good luck before the {Q-Diamonds} river rubbed extra salt into the already gaping wound.

As Dwan stoically scooped up the pot, Romanello made a sharp exit, looking about as happy as an Eskimo in the desert.

Brighton lad and 2nd on PocketFives "Best Online Player" Leaderboard Chris "Moorman1" Moorman is up there too. I"d like to see him do well.

If you aren"t aware of this Tournament Pro, see his Stars stats here (http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/pokerstars/Moorman1/poker/results/FF5476D67F7B4FC5B4638387B2089491.html?t=2) and his FT stats here (http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/fulltiltpoker/MoormanI/poker/results/BA58EA0A1BEA4A37BD3ED2C83E96632C.html?t=2)

Chris "Moorman1" Moorman has knocked out the Swede Mikael Norinder. The latter raised and found the young Brit reraising next to him, Norinder made the call and called bets on the {A-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {4-Hearts} flop, the {K-Diamonds} turn before finally calling all-in on the {9-Clubs} river with {A-?} {Q-?}. Moorman though flipped {10-Hearts} {9-Hearts} for the flopped flush, putting him over 100,000 in chips

Roland de Wolfe has been knocked out in an epic confrontation with Martin Vallo. De Wolfe had raised preflop and Vallo made the call before they proceeded to get all the chips in on an {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {4-Hearts} flop, Roland holding {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} but he was drawing to four outs against Vallo"s flopped set as the Dane was holding {4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}. Bricks on the {7-Diamonds} turn and {9-Clubs} river ended the Londoner"s dream and Vallo must be amongst the chip leaders since the pot was probably worth around 175,000.

Andy Black out now too  :-\

"Come on, don"t do it to me," pleaded an animated Andy Black as he turned over {Kd}{Kc} to Thomas Bentham"s {Ac}{Ks}.

The flop came a harmless {8s}{Js}{3d}, and the Irishman was looking good for a double through.

"That"s a good start," he added.

"Just be positive, Andy, and that **** won"t happen to you," came the wise words of Sensei Matusow.

Heeding the words of the Mouth, Black began chanting to himself: "Think positive, think positive, think pos..."

Turn = {Ad}

"Aaaaaah ****."

Matusow remained silent.

As a 4 diamonds river hit the felt, Black rose from his seat, wished his opponents good luck and exited stage left. As I write, he"s most likely setting fire to Matusow"s entire collection of "positive thinking" literature and mumbling, "I should have stayed negative."

Sorry to hear about the demise of the Mad Monk  :-[

The unlucky KK must be an Irish thing.
