Am delighted to confirm that the WCOAP 2019 Team Championship will take place on Tuesday 23rd April starting at 1pm and Wednesday 24th April (resuming at 1pm) 2019, with a series of STTs that will include NLHE, PLO and PLO8 and culminating in a NLHE MTT on Wednesday to crown the Champions.
So far the following Team Captains and Teams are confirmed to participate:
Wales - Warren Jones
Ireland - Frank Baille
Scotland - Tom Clark
England - Don Roberts
Northern Ireland - Marty Rice
Whilst Warren, Frank and Tom will be known to many, joining them is Marty Rice, having previously represented Northern Ireland 3 times and for 2019 returning as Captain and hoping to go '2' better than the Team Bronze he won at the 2010 WCOAP. Also Don Roberts who will lead England in their quest for glory and see him return to Austria where he scored his first APAT cash back in 2008 in the European Championship in Wiener Neustadt. Don has gone on to amass no less than 11 APAT cashes since then, including taking WCOAP Bracelet in the HORSE Championship in London in 2015, and more recently finishing 4th in the WCOAP Champion of Champions in April this year.
Best of luck to them all :) and if you would like to Captain a team (international) for WCOAP, or indeed simply represent a Country, then drop me a message and we'll move things along as best we can...
Update of teams participating:
Canada - Craig MacInnes
England - Don Roberts
Germany - Juergen Bachmann
Ireland - Frank Baille
Italy - Luca Cannella
Luxembourg - Guy Overmann
Northern Ireland - Marty Rice
Scotland - Tom Clark
Switzerland - Marianne Gerber
Wales - Warren Jones
-
Delighted to be advised from Luca Cannella that he will also lead an Italian team at WCOAP 2019 :)
-
And Juergen Bachmann will lead Team Germany... :)
-
And we will again have the pleasure of seeing Team Luxembourg, lead by Guy Overmann
-
Exciting... team Canada led by Craig MacInnes and Switzerland headed by Marianne Gerber will also participate 😁

I would like to thank Apat for the opportunity to Captain the England Team in Austria, I am very honoured to be doing it.
Now that the WCOAP schedule has been announced, I would like to invite applicants for the team event which will take place on Tuesday April 23rd and Wednesday April 24th 2019.
Please pm your details if you are interested, I know it will be difficult to pick a team, as I can only pick 3 players, but I guess that goes with the territory. Please contact me by Friday 21st December which gives you a month from today, and I will look to announce the team on Saturday December 22nd.
All the best Don.
