Good luck to all members participating this evening. It will be very interesting to see how members adapt to this style of competition.
-
I have a quick question. Will I be able to use that Blue Square software, being in the U.S.? Also I believe this Heads-Up tourney will produce the best players at the end.
-
It"s on PokerStars.
-
2 minutes into round one, and on a board of 456, I was amazed to see both Ironside and Tolekim put all their chips in the midde......cards revealed to show
Ironside :2d: :3c:
Tolekim :2s: :3h:
Chop Chop

no Im talking about next season
-
I think I take the honour of 1st out. My Kings up against Aces. Always the way.
Good luck to everyone playing.
-
Well, that was 13 mins of my life wasted!! >:(
Whoever came up with the concept of Heads-Up tourneys needs their bumps felt!!

Can we ensure that everyone in the tourney rails the last table running.....
-
I"m in as Clairep75 - through to 2nd round, woohoo!
-

Its something we are looking at very closely Nathan. As soon as I get a final decision, I will communicate it out.
-
I"m in as Clairep75 - through to 2nd round, woohoo!
Yeah, but you played the fish Mulligan!! ;D
-
Okay, lets try something different this evening. How many people can we get over to rail table 1...where thinkerje and steveinhants are playing. Lets get over there and make some noise :D
-
:-[ oops - turns out slow playing top pair isn"t a great plan when it allows your opponent to hit his straight.
I went out with 2 pair versus trips - but it was the earlier hand that really damaged me.
-
Never slow play trip tens heads up or technolog will bust you.
-
u/l Jon...who were u playing?
-
How many times do you have to be told. DONT slow play trip queens (my 2 hole cards were queens) and let the other guy hit his flush. AAAArrgh.
Well at least I went out to the Razz Champion. Well played hollaboo.
GL everyone left in.
-
u/l Jon...who were u playing?
colmcg - it wouldn"t have been so bad if he hadn"t kept on folding to a minimum bet to my overpairs and flopped straights. I think I only managed to trap him twice - one full house and one overpair. I"m worried I may have given off a tell with the other hands. :)
-
Worst tournament to have internet connection problems!
Got back in 10 or so mins later with 1k in chips to his 3k in chips after having my blinds raped but after playing aggressively, think I put him on tilt and managed to pull through and get through to the next round yea!
-
i had a very tough match and dispite and early lose of chip lead i had dominate chips for much of match managed to get him all in for his last 550 with my Q5 v his K2 on a 234 flop from which he then got back to a 3-2 lead from which was able to recover and with teh blinds rising got him all in for his last 870 with my jacks v his 87
it helps to hit cards at the right time
-
Lucky as usual iron
-
Kinboshi against nosey p well worth railing
-
great game between thinker and steveinhants. Steve getting through in the end but very good fun to rail. We"ll pick another one half way through this round
-
Tough match but after 52 minutes of back and forth action steve went through. Top match and good fun, thanks to the rail, good luck in the next round steve. Hope to catch up at Luton.
GL to all those still in.

Yes, you are. ;D
Even playing a HU tourney is worse than Sat nght TV!! >:(
BTW, did I mention I hate HU tourneys... I only played because my mate managed to fluke himself above me in the rankings during the week, while I was on holiday... he"s still above me!! :P
By the time you get to play anyone HU you should already be well into the money. It"s that simple... end of!!

I got lucky against Wayne. AK v JJ - all-in pre-flop and the king on the flop meant I had a big chip lead.
