150 -1 are you joking!!!

I will not back myself at that price - have my results in the online league not been taken into account!!!

I rufuse to back myself at such short odd! 1000-1 is more like it!!

9 amends have been briefed to Blue Square.  You"ll be amongst them.  We"ve suggested 15 to 1.

How did they come up with these odds? I can"t possibly warrant as good a price as 150/1?!?!

Surely 200/1 is slightly closer and more accurate (although still nowhere near my actual odds)...

I also have two friends playing, one of which has never played an APAT event and is also 150/1 instead of 200/1?

I"ll be placing quite a few bets either way ;D

Does anyone know the maximum amount you can bet.
I have tried placing a bet but am getting a message to say "stake too high".  (and it wasn"t that much)

How does this each way thing work? I"m not really a gambling man outside of poker so not sure.
Is it like top 3 or something instead of winning outright?

I remember something like this happening in a tournament (think it was in DTD) where a few guys had a last-shorter bet, resulting in some of them getting all-in on the first hand, trying to persuade their tables to call them.

Quite legal. As previously suggested there may be an issue with betting on yourself to lose in the first round as this could be achieved quite easily, especially if you are me. ;D

Probably not.  A quick call to customer services at Bl Sq will sort it.  You will then need to put money into your sportsbook account or transfer over from poker account.

40/1 is hilarious, no-one should ever be 40/1
even 66/1 isn"t credible.

I"ll lay anyone even money that i think a player with odds of 150/1 or higher wins the main event, up to twenty british pounds :)

the first person to accept can consider the action booked :)

I find it strange that in an event with around 300 runners, not one single player is 300-1 or, as should be, worse than this price. Where are the 400-1 shots? Can we all be better than the average for this event? (Note: that"s impossible ::))

How can 200-1 be the outsiders in a 300 horse race? No wonder the favourites are such poor odds!

Do they really believe poker players don"t understand odds and are ust ripping us off?

Sweet. Cheers Rich. im a sucker for props....if you remember what i look like then come and say hi.

I agree with you about it beign crazy for 2 players to be 40-1. They may well be the best players in the room, but evan if phill hellmuth shows up, i wouldnt bother putting money on him to win, (and what would the 0dds be then 10-1?).
Apat events become craapshoots towards the end of day 1. And there is way too much luck involved, with surving coin flips over and over, i know most tourneys apart from the $10,000 main events go like this at some point. Maybe with 300 runners this tourney could be better though. More chips spread over the last 2 tables and final table etc....

Wow, iv just seen that i have gone from 150-1 and now at 80-1...., i should not be 80-1.such a big jump A few peoples odds have changed actually.

I think the two being at 40/1 is less to do with the odds BS think they have of winning, but more a reflection of the amount that has been bet on each of them to win it (probably by the players themselves).  The new odds are just a reflection of the action on them.

in the case of neil blatchly i believe this is true as its indicated on other forums he has backed himself. but as for ben turnstill the price is laughable, ben was put in at 40/1 and hasnt had a penny on himself nor as far as i know nobody else has either.

i hope not anyway because ben isnt actually playing. he perchased a seat a week or so ago hoping to but has since tranfered it to a friend. apat were informed a fair while ago and was hoping blue square might adjust there market accordingly.

So I should get paid in full for backing Jamie as he was placed first out of everyone who BSQ offered. I cant help it if BSQ didn"t price up the winner. they didn"t even have a "any unnamed player" price.

I"m good but cant work miracles

Perhaps BSQ had "inside info" on Charles, and declined to offer a price??    ;)

This is going to sound bad but I had stream of relatives on Bank holiday Monday saying "What happened to my £2 E/W bet you said you would put on for me, you said you"d most probably be 200-1?" At least I have this thread for evidence, hope mods don"t delete it ever!

I think the only liability they had on the final was Bagley- me and Neil had some action at 200s- if he"s won I"d have won 2.5k and neil 5k
