Out in 13th, no story to tell, but we all want to know how he managed to donk off 92,000 chips so soon.
He just shakes his head.

Three all in in the HORSE event.
I turn up at the table.
First question - "What are you playing ?"
To which I get numerous helpful responses of "HORSE"
Finally find out it"s Stud Hi/Lo
The players involved are Andrew Tracey, Richard Iwaniak and Antony Wolsey.
21 Cards were on there backs and apparantely Richard had a good hand. He nearly triples up and unfortunately we lose Antony Wolsey in 5th place.

Somehow, we are back to level stacks.
Both players want this win badly and it is making for amazing viewing.
The railers are all deep in thought at the cards on the table as hand after hand goes by.

GL Andrew and John, big thanks to all for making it such a fun Tourney.
Dealers and staff, great show covering this event :)
Thanks to the Apat team for all hard work over a very long weekend of poker.
Cheers

BUMP!
-
Andrew Tracey is the APAT World Amateur HORSE Champion.
Jon Woodfield finishes as runner up.
I asked Tikay to talk me through the final hand, he said "What game are they playing ?"
So, Jon spoke up to explain, then he asked Andrew "What game were we playing ?"
It would appear that it was stud hi. The chips went in with Jon holding a pair of Jacks. Andrew was yet to make a hand, but then hit runner runner eights for trips and won the pot.

Congratulations Andrew! WTG and to the Silver and Bronze Medalists.
Fantastic updates there Leigh.
-
Really enjoyed playing in the HORSE last night and feel both really pleased and dissapointed with 4th place to bubble the medals.
I can only echo some of the previous comments about how superb the dealers and staff at DTD were. It"s one thing knowing the rules, but then to execute all of the variants with us lot chipping in with various levels of knowledge and understanding is another - Well Done DTD & APAT for a great event, more of the same please.
I was really pleased with my overall play yesterday although I did have a mad couple of hold "em hands back to back where I donked off 40% of my stack to the eventual winner. I managed to build myself back up but then was outdrawn twice with good hands in Omaha 8/B against short stacks all-in (having never played Omaha before Thursday if there"s one thing I"ve learnt it"s a game of outdraws).
Andrew was then relentless with his big-stack bullying immediately to my right, played the chip-lead superbly well, gave me nothing for free and was a worthy winner battering my stack down in the process.
Great Tourney, once again well done APAT esp Des, Rich & Leigh.
And finally, as I was eventually knocked out by Jon Woodfield (he"s played Razz before apparently) I have changed my sig in honour of him :)
-
Big Congrats Andrew.
-
well played Andrew.
The HORSE tourney was great fun, although by the time I had worked out what I was doing I was too short stacked to play properly. I play HORSE online without a problem and do ok - didn"t realise how hard it would be to play live!!
