Really weird spot. I cant belive he didnt bet the turn, the board pairing was a great card for him. i can only assume that he must of been tired from playing in bobbys room every night during the main event. apparantly he went like 5 days with next to nothing sleep.
There was no reason for him to muck the hand, i have watched this again and he never doubble checks the whole cards. he must of thought he had the 8 clubs.

i guess ivey didn"t bet cos he wouldn"t expect his UTG open to be 3bet by A9o and he can"t really bet for value

Ivey is just so good that I say he knew he had the winning hand and mucked so that he could get all the chips in the next hand which they didn"t show.  ;D

Just watching final table re-run.Ivey comments on this hand.

It was a genuine mistake,he hadn"t realised he had the  8s and  that there were 4 spades on board.
