Is this the only sat.. ???

Will be be running the normal one ??? (esp rebuy  ;D  0

It kinda clashes with the League - hey I can multi table

Also the fastest finger is in the middle of the league - so I could still be in the sat and if I buy in at 9pm and win a seat what happens does it put me in twice or does it stick me in a seperate holding tank, so many questions LOL

Further satellites info may be announced.  The direct buyin and satellites go into separate holding tanks, so if you play the satellite, direct buyin, then win a seat, you can just unreg from the direct buyin.  Or vice versa, or any combination etc.

Leigh..

WCOAP Stud Championship....what kind of Stud?

5 card / 7 card / Draw?

I"m pretty sure it will be 7 card stud, but will need Des or Rich to confirm that

Got a message in with Betfair on this one.  The freeroll should be on the Saturday night, with the Satellite on the Sunday.  The freeroll will effectively pay the top 20 players $77.50 into their accounts, so they can direct buyin their choice of side event on the Sunday night. (No guaranteed seats, but Betfair are giving you the cash to buyin)

Will confirm if that changes.

3 day notice for the direct buy in!

I have plans on Sunday which i can"t change which I would kept free.

The main event should be fine but I was wanting to play some side events.

Not at all pleased!

WCOAP Stud Championship....what kind of Stud?

5 card / 7 card / Draw?

bit of a pedantic question given that Texas holdem is also a variation of stud (did you mean Razz instead of draw??)

Most people would assume it is 7 card stud - given that all other previous APAT events with "stud" in it were the 7 card (hi) variety

There are two holding tanks on Betfair. One for each starting day.

So at 9pm, they will both be active for registration.  Once you have your main event seat, you can fill in some days with side events from 10pm.

They are all currently under "Announced" in the lobby, if you want to familiarise yourselves with whats going on.

Nope...just checking!

Stud poker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stud_poker) has a few variants of which 5 card (played in The Cincinatti Kid if I recall correctly), 7 card hi, 7 card hi-low and Razz are just a few but I don"t think Hold'em is a version of Stud....but I could be wrong....it"s been known...it was back in 1978 but it"s been known. ;D

By "draw", I was referring to "draw poker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draw_poker)" which, I suppose is technically not stud but in the absence of a definitive answer, I thought asking would be sensible.

Whatever, 7 card high is fine with me.

Okay, I think I"ve got it right.

At 7pm we start the sat to main event.

At 8pm we start the League match.

At 9pm we hovver over the hit button for the direct buy in.

I"ll have to do a "to do list"!!

Why run all 3 at the same time?

If we get a direct "buy in" and then qualify from the sat can we unregister from the direct "buy-in"?

Can they extend the 5 min break for the sat and league match to say 10 or 15 mins, so that I deal with all this. I am a male and find multi tasking very difficult, I also need to take my medication.

I can feel a headache already coming on just thinking about it all. Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest - not chaos!!

Sure, but if APAT wait then they get complaints about people not being given enough notice to plan properly....they really can"t win whichever option they choose, so they err towards earlier...Fair?

Also, there are a lot of seats to be sold and the longer they are available the more chances of a decent field.

Is it just me or is this announcement a bit out the blue? I get that its early so that people can buyin and sort everything out but the fact there was no indication of when the buyin would be available (not that I"ve seen anyways) is slightly frustrating.
With a couple days notice and the choice to play in multiple events (in some peoples cases all of them) am I alone in thinking that this is a bit unreasonable?

I unfortunately don"t have a spare 300quid lying around jus ready for a random apat buyin and now looks like I will miss out of the world champ events as seats are sure to be snapped up as this is the pinnacle event of apat season 4.

Nice one :(

I don"t really see the difference between announcing in February that the tanks will open in 3 months (not practical at the time anyway) and letting people save up in the interim....or assume people will save up regardless for when the tanks do open.

A little bit of forward planning has gone a long way...at least for me. The dates of the World comps was announced some months ago and I"m sure that  many of us have put money aside to cover those that we want to play although I think it unlikely that most of us will want to play ALL of them for £300. I think you might be the exception there.

However, I think you can rest assured that most of these events won"t sell out immediately, so I think you"ll be in with a chance for a while.

Then again, I could be wrong.

your not the only one.

I just don"t think 3 days notice is fair on people.

I have plans on Sunday which I would of kept free if I know the buy in was then.

I am lucky that I have kept poker winnings aside for this and the Scottish apat but many people haven"t.

When you are putting out a few hundred pound I would expect a bit of notice even a couple of weeks.

I have to say...  I can"t understand why this has been planned this way...

All the sats, freerolls, whatever, all running this Sunday, and, at the same time as a previously planned team game..!  We have 3 months of time between now and the actual games...  SURELY, someone could have arranged the games away from an online game already planned and will be a fair number of players playing in that game, who want to also take some part in the WCOAP games in August.   How many days next week are we doing nothing online for APAT where these games could have been scheduled?  Also, with the alternate games ALL being 10pm Sunday night..?  Is it planned this way on purpose?

IMHO.. Terrible planning..!!!

I would hope that someone explains the part of the planning that I cannot see as sensible.!!

Cheers
Carl.

Okay, let me try and clear up a few points here :-

The dates, buyin and structure for the WCOAP were announced when we released details of season 4, about 3 months ago.

As was stated then, the plan was to release these seats earlier than for a normal APAT Championship, which matched exactly what we did last season.

The length of notice is a little disappointing, but when you are releasing joint information to both Betfair and APAT's player database, it is not always a straight forward process.  Also, the calendar this year is significantly busier and we have tried to ensure the sale date doesn"t clash with other events, bank holidays etc.

Both the freeroll and added value satellite are events that Betfair have asked to put on, and that offers APAT members over £1500 of additional value seats.  This is tremendous value, and something we have not had before.

The freeroll is on the Saturday night.  The clash on the Sunday night with the league game simply means that we should have over 200 regular APAT players already on Betfair at that time.  The main event holding tanks go on sale at the first break during the league game.  Buying in is now very straight forward, and should take approximately 10 second to complete.

The side events all being released at the same time, again is aimed at fairness to all players.  These events have a significantly limited seating compared to APAT National events.  Different players will want to play different games, and by releasing them at the same time gives everyone a fair chance to register for their preferred choice of side events.  If you manage to register for everything, then well done.  By releasing them at 10pm on Sunday, players should have had enough chance to register for their choice of startign day in the main event, and can then plan around that.

I know we cannot please everyone and so far this season we have had posts and pm"s saying too early, too late, to many, not enough.  As ever, a lot of thought and planning goes into setting up these events, and the aim is always to be fair to as many of our members as we possibly can and offer great value events.

Good Luck with getting seats this weekend.

As always, more than happy to answer questions either on here or via pm.

in response to paulie_d, obviously hindsight is a wonderful thing and now i wish i had put money aside in preparation, although there was no indication of when that saved money would be needed. I unfortunately have financial expenditure other than poker competitions and events, making a sudden buyin announcement rather farfetched for me.

Considering there has been two online and two live festivals so far this season, all which of which i have played in, including travel and accomodation the financial costs of APAT events isnt cheap. so im trying to see where realistically, as an average joe earner, where even more poker outlay would come from in the run-up to the buyin.
Couple that with the fact the announcement has given us less than a few days notice to contemplate our actions, i think APAT has missed the boat on player convenience and respect to individuals financial capabilities.

To link in with leigh response, i cant begin to imagine the detail and process that is needed to organise, run, announce these APAT events and my sympathy and respect goes out to the team that do it. If theres an issue to why its been announced this way then so be it, i just think that a lot of people may struggle to buyin at this notice. I dont know everyones situation of course and good luck to those who can buyin, im just a little bit disappointed personally that i may miss out on an event that was my poker highlight of 2010.

The whole APAT ethos is centered around the players and making it unlike any other tour for amateurs, however in this instance i dont think this ethos has been adhered to and wonder why just some reasonable notice would have been difficult to provide.

I hope to find some funds or go on a serious betfair cashgame heater to be able to buyin on sunday. Hopefully cya at the tables :|

Thanks for the explanation Leigh.  However, I still fail to see why the agenda was set that way....  If the dates and times were set right at the start of the season for this roll-out, then why did a league game get put right in the middle of it.  Yes there is a break at 9pm on Sunday, and it does not take long, but it still does not make sense to plan so many events on top of an existing event.

Carl I am sure is talking for us oldies who are not PC savvy.

In theory, if I/we/anyone over the age of 40 plays the 7pm sat and makes the second break (unlikely for Carl) then this will still be running to 9.05 with the added 5 min break at 8pm. So 2 games running plus the added factor that i havent worked out how to open more than 2 tables yet LOL. This will be fun!!! I will make sure I have my tena ladies and thermos of hot cocoa nearby ;-)

Yes I can see I"ll be ending up with a couple seats to events, best case senario anyway. So I basically secure my seat by buying it then try and get my money back in the Sats.  As opposed to the usual , try and win a seat so you don"t have to part with the cash in the first place.

Tsk, I turn away for the mearest of minutes, and find Leigh has scheduled something like seven events all at the one time.  Good man  :D

Joking aside, APAT scheduling has been very complex this season and while I think we"d like to have offered a little more space between some events at the weekend, sometimes even we have to just go with the flow.

In my opinion these events will not sell out on day one.  There will also be seats available via the seat exchange board between now and August, so it"s not the end of the world if you are unable to buy in this weekend.

As for criticising APAT...well, just stop, unless you really want to get me started?  ;)

Well it"s obvious that you just need to change your arrangements. USA will still be there after August; the tournament won"t. If the family objects, give them a week in Ayr instead.

The top 20 players will receive $77.50, which coincidentally is enough to enter one of the side events at this seasons WCOAP.

From this I assume you win the cash into your account

How much will the direct buy-in cost to the £100 main event?

Got to put some money in the account.

The hung parliament has hit the £ for six. Is it todays exchange rate? Yesterdays? Tomorrows?

If I"m lucky enough to get through the sat, will I get money back at a different rate?

My 2 brain cells are hurting - more medication.

Thought I saw direct buy-in at 9pm but now I see 10pm - more medication - help!!

How is this being paid out. What I"m trying to work out is,is it cash into your Betfair account to use online or is it to buy into a live APAT side event.

Reason I"m asking is the password is posted on a Romanian password sharing forum site so there will be a lot of non APAT members playing and if they cash do they get to keep the cash?

I am just looking at a massive influx of russian names into that freeroll..  Gotta be thinking someone has posted the password to another place and we are getting people entering a freeroll because they can... How many of them really gonna plan to go to Nottingham..!!!  If that is the case, really spoiling it a little for the genuine APATers..

The sat puts you into the "holding tank" for the live tourney.

But at 10pm there is a direct buy-in to the tourney which is I assume is also password protected.

So far this season I have qualified for the live via sats. I cannot see the direct buy-in listed yet or is that just me again?

But I can open it up through the link in the sat lobby. What happens at 10pm?

Does the usual "register" button just appear in the tourney lobby at 10pm, or do you have to open up the direct buy-in in the main tourney after 10pm in order to get the "register" button e.g. if i was in the tourney lobby at 9.30pm would "register" just appear at 10pm?

If you understand what I mean  ???

The link from the sat takes you to a "holding tank" stating 9pm, but does not say 1a or 1b. Are the actual holding tanks listed as yet, or will they not appear until 10pm? And then there will be 2 - one for 1a and one for 1b

Enter each game - then split it out using first table icon with the * in the top right you will then have a seperate window for each game. Each open game window will go from announced to registering at the appointed time - then just register .. simplessss

Yes

No

;)

But safe to say, teams and selection process will be announced soon (So you can guess who"s in charge of that then ? )

Ideas are in for format and structure.  Tag Team Tiddlywinks looks like it"s made the cut, but Heads Up Nandos Challenge may miss out, although we could use this should we need a play-off.

Dave,

Welcome to APAT.

The direct buyins shouldn"t be password protected, but if for any reason it flags up needing a password, then "apatmember" is the standard one.

Good luck tonight.

If you are on Betfair tonight, you should try out the Satellite at 7pm, or the league games at 8pm.

Appreciate all the added value that Betfair offer and love them dearly but I hate the lobby etc I can never find what the hell I"m looking for.

I"m sure if I used it more often I"d get used to it but it"s so tilt worthy I just don"t want to.

Please sort it Betfair, as i actually quite like the tables, just hate the functionality.

Erm...why would you need to be contacted....you just register for the day you want...done deal?

You"ll have to explain that one Paulie. How does one register for the day they want whilst sitting in the qualifiers holding tank? Did I miss something?

No...I did...I had a Senior Moment...DOH!

Question for Leigh or Des...

Why don"t the pro players have to register so early as we do for the Nottingham DTD game?

I say that because I do not see a game room for that game on Betfair.

Carl.

Hmmmmm, I knew we"d forgotten something.   ;D

Our experience so far with the Pro League has suggested to us that the players looking to play these events, tend to leave it until much nearer the time to think about registering.  If we opened a holding tank now for them, it would sit nearly empty for months.  That"s all really.

So despite your whining and lobby navigation issues, you got some seats.

You then went on tilt and blew your stack

Seriously, I think this system is much easier than the whole clickfest malarky we had previously.

Leigh,

I bought in for the WCOAP ME Day 1a only to qual via the Sat (gunton).  Grateful if you would confirm this as I cannot find the ME holding tank on Betfair.  Once I am happy that I have a seat via the Sat I will unregister from the direct buy-in for Day 1a.  I may change my entry day in light of getting into a number of other games and understand this is possible as you will contact the Sat winners at a later date to decide which day 1 they wish to take up.

Apologies for adding to the faff.

All the best,

Dave

Hi Dave,

The tournament is still in the lobby under "completed".  Betfair have told me that they have contacted the qualifiers today to confirm choice of starting day.  Feel free to unregister from the Main Event and they will put you in on your chosen day when you reply to them.

Any problems, let me know.

Interesting to read all the fuss about the late announcement of the buy-ins on this thread. I was away too and totally missed them, but unlike last year it seems that these events do not fill up within 5 mins anymore. I managed to register fairly easy yesterday. No panic, although I did get the fear a little when I saw that I missed the "clickfest" (is that the right word anymore?). I remember the panic at 9.05pm this time last year when the buy-in system took time to work. Registering through Betfair is much easier than last year"s system.

Thanks to the APAT team, again!

ALL GOOD WITH BETFAIR

GOT IN STUD, OMAHA, SIX MAX AND HORSE NO PROBS.

JUST A SHAME COULDN"TGET INTO HEADS UP GAME.

IF THEY COULDA DONE 64 PLAYERS THEY ONLY NEED 32 TABLES WHICH DTD CAN ACCOMODATE. WITH DEALERS AT EACH END.

HEADS UP FILLED UP FASTER THAN MICHAEL BUBLE CONCERT TICKETS!!! ::)

GOOD JOB ON THE WHOLE APAT

Any idea at this stage of structure for the 6-max and PLO events?  Not necessarily full structure, but just level duration and starting stack/1st blind level.

Cheers

Glad you got most of the seats you were after.  The issue with making the Heads Up 64 runners is that it clashes with the first day of the World Team Event also (64 players).  Although DTD could accomodate tables and dealers for this (and they are probably one of the few that could), once the first round of Heads Up is complete, there is a significant reduction in staffing needed until later in the evening.

Tough to manage it right, but we think we have the balance about right.  (Although the demand may suggest otherwise  ;D )

Can"t confirm for definite yet, but last years WCOAP PLO was 10k starting stack with 30 mins blind levels.

I would suggest this years 6-max and PLO would be a similar structure.

Double the entries by playing half of the first round games followed by the other half?

Yes, you will need to be a member of DTD, so yes, you will need photo id with you.

It"s worth pre-registering on the DTD website, as if you turn up on the day, they will only point you at a computer in reception and ask you to do it then, so you might aswell get it out of the way before you get there.

Just a couple of quickies.....

1. Will there be added seats / prizes to the Main Event and Side Events

2. Any ideas what the starting times are, we are a 4 hour drive away and need to get checked into hotels etc (As well as have a Plan B for trains in case the nominated car decides not to work on the day (Again!)) I know we will get a player briefing nearer the time, but an approximate time for now would be good :)
3.Do I need to register for the H.O.R.S.E. online just in case I miss making Day 2 or are APAT going to offer Day 1 Flunkies an alternative tournament on the day.

DTD normally run their usual schedule of tournaments, although possibly with a cap on runners

Click on "Tourney Lobby" on the left side.
At the top, untick "Medium" and "Low"
Click on "More" and untick everything except "Turbo"

We provide a player briefing much nearer the time, but basically, if you are in the holding tank, then you will be entered into the tournament at Dusk Till Dawn, so just need to turn up on the right day.

Loads more info on the forum, so ask away if you have any questions.

Thanks Paulie, just wondered because I"m working that day and not sure if I can make it at 2.30, what would happen if I arrived late, would my blinds just get put in ? and is there a final cut off time for being late before your seat is used by someone else ?

Just to clarify what has been said,  once you have paid and are registered, your chips go in to play with APAT games.  You can turn up anytime you wish and join the game, but your blinds and antes will have been taken upto that point as per normal.

Hi, I know DTD have a feature table, just wondered if this was going to be used in any way during the "world champs"? it would be great if you were on there and could have your hands filmed and then buy the dvd after to see how you played your hands against your oppenents. Also is there any coverage or updates of the tournament in any way by internet feed?
;D
Title: Re: APAT World Championships Of Amateur Poker (WCOAP)

I think there will be an internet feed of the feature table but it"s not as detailed as you might think. I don"t think you can make out the cards.

Certainly, AFAIK, the "feature" table at DTD does not have hole-cams.

if anyone caught tv coverage of English Open for example, you can see that they were used for edited coverage afterwards

If I recall correctly from the two times I"ve played on the feature table at DTD, it has several plexiglass/plastic sections dotted about near the seats.

If they"re not so that the right tv people can put cameras underneath them for hole-cams then they"re a really bad design feature (the first "pretty sure" is just because I can"t always rely on my memory to recall anything correctly :) )

The second "pretty sure" is because I"m just guessing - that"s my people reading skills I"m using there  :D

Thanks for the correction. I suspect that there will be a number of "featured" tables (usually 2-3) but I doubt that holecam will be used...although, I suppose, we could ask that they are recorded (if they have that capability).

Trouble is getting everyone to use them.

tbh, from the few final tables i have played at DTD, the glass windows are a pain in the rear as i find it difficult to gather my cards from them.

i would imagine using the hole-cams for the APAT comps would be a huge resource

At the moment the Seat Exchange is your only option.

However, I believe that Betfair and Leigh are totting up the number of seats left unallocated after the marketing, satellites and freerolls etc.

Once they have done that I think they"ll re-open the tanks...HOWEVER, you"ll probably have to be quick off the mark...like hot cakes they are.  ;D

Is the structure for day 1a going to follow the structure on the main APAT website?

The only reason I ask is that by the time the blinds reach 4000/8000 at level 15 there will probably be only a few left in and if followed with the same on day 1b, it won"t make for much of a day 2.
Title: Re: WCOAP day 1a
Post by: Paulie_D on July 28, 2010, 23:30:55 PM
The first day usually ends at level 13....don"t forget there will be over 200 runners each day and perhaps only 30-40 will come back on day 2.

Average stack will be over 100.000 and blinds will be in the 2000/4000 range....still some play. I think there have been times when they have wound back the blinds on day 2 but that"s a judgement call on the day.

With 200 runners there will be 2,000,000 chips in play and with 40 runners left the average stack will be 50,000 so at 2000/4000 probably a bit less play.

Am looking forward to the event though, should be good!

There will be a tank, we"re hoping to make buyin available at DTD also (maybe with some satellites if they are keen).

Just waiting for the Betfair software to settle down.

Will be 54 runner capacity, so don"t see any problems in gettting a seat initially.

A normal APAT Day 1 has between 150-200 runners and we play down to around 25-30 (We don"t finish when he hit that number, it"s just the usual position we are in), so it will be fine.

Trust us, we"ve run one or two of these in the past.   ;)

You"re not quite with me...

There aren"t 200 runners in total..there are over 400 (I think nearer 450 in fact..assuming a sell out). Assume 40 (in total) come back for day 2...then it"s a simple calculation to see that there is only 1/10 of the field left so the average would be 10x the starting stack...i.e. 100,000.

Simples

With 200 runners there will be 2,000,000 chips in play and with 40 runners left the average stack will be 50,000 so at 2000/4000 probably a bit less play.

Simples

With you, I thought you meant 30-40 left from each day.

As above all the seats for DTD worlds are sold out , only option is the seat exchange if you are lucky
As to buying more than one seat, can"t be done only one ticket per game per player , If a friend wants too try tell them to register  ( it"s free )

You can only buy-in by downloading the Betfair poker sofware and registering for the Tournaments there. Yes, they are live events but the buy-ins are handled this way.

At present, not all of the events are showing up (at least the last time I checked).

Also, the current allocation of Main Event seats are sold out but it is expected that some more (number unknown) will become available shortly. I am expecting these to be sold the same way but this hasn"t been confirmed as yet.

Your final option is to see if anyone is selling a seat on the APAT Seat Exchange (http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?board=37.0) or post a new thread there asking to see if anyone will sell you one.

Keep an eye out for more news.

Could be a stupid que...but theoretically if you already have a seat but get picked for the team event (Im assuming there are seats left over for these people), could you sell the ME seat on seat exchange to someone who needs one, and then buy-in with team event slot.  Just thinking it could free up a seat for seat-exchange people.

Not a stupid question, but there is a much simpler solution.

If you are selected for the team event and already have bought a seat, then we will just have one extra seat when we release the leftovers nearer the event.   ;D

final table has holecams, but they haven"t been used for any live feeds for obvious reasons.

if anyone caught tv coverage of English Open for example, you can see that they were used for edited coverage afterwards

They used special cards for the UKIPT event at DTD I believe.  They could be "read" by the camera and so the hands could be reported accurately and quickly.

...and yes, those windows are a right pain on the final table ;)

Assuming you mean the Main Event then at the moment the Seat Exchange (http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?board=37.0) is your only option.

However, I believe that Betfair and Leigh are totting up the number of seats left unallocated after the marketing, satellites and freerolls etc. and that any "extra"s may be opened up for registration through the Betfair poker software as usual.

No info on possible sales of additional seats on the day as yet. Alternates will be allowed (AFAIK) but these are likely to less than 5 on each day (based on previous experience).

ahh I see, I"ve heard of micro chipped playing cards before, but obviously this is cleverer as effectively there"s no difference between these cards and normal cards.

The old holding tanks aren"t being replicated on the new software.

Sorry you need to unregister, but you"ll have to put your seat up on the seat exchange to sell to another member.

There is still a high demand for seats, so you shouldn"t have a problem in finding a taker.

also, are shades/mp3 players allowed at tables?

APAT do not allow multi-tabling so if you were to make the ME Day 2, you could not play the HORSE and would have to try to sell it on the Seat Exchange.

I believe that the HORSE will be popular and so you should not have too much trouble but there is always a risk that you won"t get your money back. Your choice.

Trainers and jeans are OK. Ripped jeans less so.

Shades & Tunes are OK too (IIRC) also hoodies but normally they won"t want you having the hood up in the casino.

Of course, if you wear that lot all together...we will point at you and laugh as a n00b, especially if you top it off with a Pokerstars/Full Tilt T-Shirt.  ;D

Didn"t get mine and I"m in 2 events....these emails tend to go out in batches so don"t anyone panic if you don"t get one immediately.

Your FIRST port of call is the PLAYER LISTS (http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=6619.0). If you are on there, you are fine...if not..because you just bought your seat or have completed a transfer on the Seat Exchange, then please give APAT a chance to bring the lists up to date.

Remember, the APAT back-office team is a couple of people who have other things to do in the real world like...you know, jobs and families.

Whatever you do, don"t PM me about it...I"m not involved in that side...I just post a lot and keep things tidy around here. Sort of like a glorified janitor.  ;D

I"m not aware of any forms you might have to sign regarding APAT using your details however, it is part of the terms and conditions of entry into the tournament that APAT can use them..so, basically, you have already given permission.

For DTD, you will need Photo ID...a passport of photo driving licence are the best options...I haven"t heard of anything else being accepted but others might know different. They might ask you to fill out a short form (I can"t recall) but it only takes a minute and you can do that on the day. Just turn up in good time.

I believe that the 6-max is NLHE.

Leigh..

WCOAP Stud Championship....what kind of Stud?

5 card / 7 card / Draw?

bit of a pedantic question given that Texas holdem is also a variation of stud (did you mean Razz instead of draw??)

Pot Limit 7CS

What would you all think of set up something like "Best player of WCOAP 2010" We could easy choice one of the player by vote after all events. There is 5 event to play possbile by one player so i belive there will be someone who cash few times or take a 2 FT. Maybe APAT can find few pounds to made a special trophy for that player? or (and) some of small cash prize like buy in to any of APATs event....

At last years WCOAP, Paul Pitchford was declared player of the festival for his Omaha win and bubbling the final table of the main event.  He won an APAT Polo Shirt for this amazing achievement.

We will make another award this year with a prize attached.  It very much is about the pride and prestige of winning the award.

Leigh.

As the Betfair tanks are now closed, I seem to recall seeing something about any "spare" seats being made available on the day at DTD.

I would assume that these will be opened up for purchase ON THE DAY at the venue and when these run out the Alternate list will then take over.

1. Am I right?
2. Is there a "start" time for purchase/registration/getting on the list for these spare seats?

Finally, is there a "cut-off" date / time for seat swaps &/or sales on the Seat Exchange?

Just a quick question, i appologise if its already been mentioned.

Will day 1a and day 1b of the main event be run down to a "cut off" or just keep playing untill a set time?
For example
200 people enter for day 1a - will we just play down to 100 then stop and come back for the final day?
Or do we play till 1am or something and whoever is left comes back for final day.
Cheers

Ignore this just read 6 pages back what the crac is.  ;D

Finally, is there a "cut-off" date / time for seat swaps &/or sales on the Seat Exchange? - The plan is 6pm the evening before each event.  Players need to be aware that we will be at DTD for 5 days running the event, live updates, live streaming, etc, so our response times may fluctuate a bit

Sorry for being slightly hard of understanding, but here goes.
If I was looking to play the stud, SH hold"em, Omaha and HORSE events, would I have to ship up to DtD at openig time each day to try for a spare seat or will I be able to ring in advance, find out that there are seats for all 4 then purchase the lot in one go on arrival?
I"m assuming DtD will have all the answers at some point soon.
Also, I know I should have registered earlier, booked the time off work months ago, but never got around to doing it.

I don"t recall APAT allowing phone-ins.

As far as buying in at DTD, you will only be able to purchase seats ON THE DAY of the individual event.

There are, I believe, some Stud & Omaha seats available in the Seat Exchange. (http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?board=37.0)

Look out for the ladies with the Betfair T-Shirts who will be walking around the tables from 4pm - Midnight each day.

You can"t now as all the player lists are with DTD, so the Online lobby has been taken down

Remaining seats for a few events are for sale via the DTD Cash Desk, first come first served. DTD re-opens Wednesday evening

How easy would it be at this point to change from day 1b (Sunday) to day 1a (Saturday)? Not a problem if it can"t be done but would quite like to if it can without causing you guy"s too much hassel.
