From Pokerstars Blog :-
5.50pm: Michael Leedham doubles up
I joined the action on the turn of a A?6?Q?6? board, there was 35,000 in the pot and is was on Mary Martin to act, she was under the gun+1 and she bet 25,000. Her only opponent in the hand was Michael Leedham, who was on the button. Leedham moved all-in for 120,000 total and Martin then tanked for several minutes before saying, "This is probably a bad call, but I call."
Martin: A?J?
Leedham: A?Q?

10.15pm: Martin catches the bluff
Mary Martin was left dwelling whether to call a 53,500 bet on the river of a 5?8?7?4?Q? board. Jimmy White had made the bet, almost a third of his stack, and Martin eventually made the call. White tapped teh table and mucked his hand. Martin turned over bottom two with 4?5?. She was still arranging her stack when we left but she looks like she must be approaching 300,000. -- RD

Been following this all afternoon, great stuff! Can feel a Bink! on it"s way as she takes this beast down!

3.55pm: Mary, Mary quite contrary
Mary Martin is playing a quiet and considered game allowing the big stacks around her to get involved. Probably a sensible strategy all things considered. Richard Chadwick has taken the other approach and has raised the last two pots. He took the blinds in one and passsed to a Max Silver shove in the other. -- RD

4pm: Girl on girl action
Mary Martin and Suzanne Pyefinch just played two pots in a row. In the first Martin raised under the gun to 26,000 and was called by Pyefinch from the big blind. Both players checked the T?Q?9? flop. On the 9? turn Pyefinch bet 25,000 and Martin called. The A? fell on the river and Pyefinch bet 30,000 and Martin folded. The second was a simple raise and take with Pyefinch raising to 32,00 from the small blind and Martin folding. Pyefinch showed the A? "I don"t want to knock you out, you"re a girl," said Pyefinch to Martin. "Soft play again?""quipped Max Silver. "I told you I"m going to be the first female winner {of the UKIPT}," added Pyefinch. -- NW

Final Table
Seat four: Mary Martin, 41, Edinburgh, UK, 165,000
Mary is the local lass done good in this tournament. She lives in Edinburgh and is a full-time Mum looking after her three kids; Holly, 11, David, 9 and Ellie age 4. Martin"s biggest poker achievement to date is winning a amateur poker title in July 2008 (she was the first female winner) she"s now looking to become the first female to win a UKIPT event. She"s the second shortest stack coming into the final table but wherever she finishes this will be her biggest cash ever. Martin once did a paraCrute jump from 10,000 feet for a Leukimia charity.

Hey everyone, thanks so much.
Ive had an absolutely fantastic time, felt totally relaxed and focused for the 3 days I played and although I went out 8th, feel quite proud of my achievement.
When I went back for Day 3, very short stacked, I was very happy with the knowledge that I was guaranteed £2,200 and felt that even if I did not go any further it was pretty awesome. When 2 players were knocked out at the same time and we were down to 9, they decided to just stick all 9 of us onto the area where final table was until one had been knocked out then it would be Final Table.
I was seriously short, I had a feeling it would be me, but the double up with K5 clubs gave me some more chips to play with even tho I was still bottom stack, when Owen Robinson pushed and was called by the eventual winner, I was gobsmacked to see Owen"s AQ getting beat with AT and that I had made it to final table.
After that it was so much fun as we had an hours break and they did player profiles and the video interview before we went on an early dinner break. I was really pleased with the video, they chat with you and ask you questions and then edit what they want, but before it started I hadnt even checked to see how i was looking lol and said to the guy, I better not look bad or your dead meat rofl. Really pleased with the interview video tho, for once I like it and not shy of being in the public eye.
When we returned it was fab, they did a Final Table player introduction as well as getting all 8 Finalists for a group photo, felt really great to be honest and we had a real good laugh, one thing I will say is that every one of the final tablists were great, I had played on the same table as a few of them for hours on Day 2 and we got on real great had a good laugh.
When play started I went with the flow, kept to my same game really and when I pushed with the AT on the CO I was primarily hoping to take the blinds/antes or if called pray that I was ahead, when the button called and showed AK I knew that was it, unless I spiked that J on the river, which I didnt.
So overall it was a fantastic experience, to win £4,800 was gr8 and I really can"t wait to play another lol or try and wangle a way to get to DTD for the World Championships next weekend, I feel in a gr8 place at the moment mentally so would be a shame not to utilise that feeling into more poker.
Thanks everyone for your invaluable support, it was pretty gr8 to see so many people railing me from afar and keeping my spirits up and me motivated, but moreso my cuz Geo for being there with me in Edinburgh, his support was just amazing, and I cant thank him enough.
Cheers
Mary
