Game 7 of Nottingham"s bid to win successive promotions is at 8pm on Sunday 14th November on Betfair.

A fantastic performance from Gina Weiss (LadyStar67) gained us a point to keep us in 3rd place but now 1pt clear of Leeds. She was our only player left for the last 2 tables and achieving a point from there was brilliant. She finished second - let"s hope she (or another one of us) can go one better this week!

I"m hopeful of having 2 or 3 new folk playing this week, so let"s get as many old names regged as possible for a bumper turnout. If we had as many playing as Luton or Sunderland we"d be running away with it!

Lucky blighter! I would ask if you were playing the league games while you"re in Vegas but then you"d know I was a saddo!

Sadly I would but I don"t think I can log in to Betfair from USA?

Only miss round 8 as theres a 3 week gap there :) (Not that it"ll affect points!)

We lose our first player early.

Simon Goodman (spgoodman9) gets his AA cracked by Q5.

Then finds 88 on a 7 high board and runs into QQ.

Not a bad first hour but it was spoilt a bit when we lost Paul Pitchford (paulpitch) just before the break.
But we"ve got a few handily placed in the top 10.

Sorry i couldnt make it tonight guys as i had my redtooth play off game to qualify for the regional finals. Good news is that i won and qualified :D  Bad news is that the play off finished at 8:50 so i missed out for game 7. I will be there for the next one as long as its not the 5th of dec. Well it"s going to be tough from here. We seem to be battling Dublin for the 1 point. Theay have 4 left; we have 5 but all their 4 are in the top 10. Gulp!

Don"t you hate blind on blind? A9 v 22. Hit my ace he flops a set and gets the lot :(

Dublin still have 4 left, none short-stacked. We have 2 left both very short. So the point seems beyond us but you just never know!

I shall console myself that Leeds have no-one left so can"t score and we"ll retain our 3rd place in the league.

Always semt to have 2nd best hand and had to fold. Lost most of my chips with QQ vs 56. He"d missed his flush as expected but made his straight (inside draw)  :-\ Got it all in for the rest with 55 < AQ. Enjoyed it though. Will keep my eye open for the next game if I"m about.

Here are the finishing positions from Sunday"s tourney. It makes sorry reading. It was just one of those weeks when things didn"t go our way. A missed opportunity really as we had more players in a smaller field.

Nevermind though. Onwards and upwards!

Next game is Sunday December 5th 8pm.
