Title: QUESTIONS FOR THE STAT-MEN...
Post by: thinsy147 on March 28, 2011, 12:25:00 PM
After watching/reading, from the comfort of my own home, Tod Wood"s excellent attempt to defend his title I have decided to ask a few questions:

1. What is the closest someone has come to retaining a title (is Tod the closest with a 5th finish)?

2. Has anyone won back to back Medals (i.e.: One in March followed by one in April)?

3. Has anyone won the same title twice?

I await ANSWERS!!!!  ;D

Thanks for a prompt reply... However!!!!!  ::)

Q2. I was only thinking of LIVE games.

Q3. Was only thinking of individual achievements and not TEAM EVENTS

I really should be more specific in my questions!  :P

Pretty sure this second was in the Europeans at Luton last year and he only (lol) finished 6th in dublin trying to retain his title.

I think tod"s performance (6th) was therefore the joint best title defence.

Rodders did medal 2 live ones in a row, and I can"t think of anyone else who has done this.

Ian Burnett did medal the English champs in consecutive years.

The answer to the revised question 3 is NO

FYP

The original question was "same title" so my answer was therefore correct.
