Title: The worst player in Apat.
Post by: Bodddders on December 10, 2007, 15:47:12 PM
Just wondering if this could be me!

Another fantastic event over the weekend in Manchester. Thanks and congrats to all those involved for making it happen. Although once again I failed to make any impression and went out in about 60ish. This was my seventh Apat Live Championship event and I have yet to make it past day one.
Is there anyone out there with a similar record, or am I just rubbish.  :( :(

That"s just anecdotal evidence - I"d say the rankings list doesn"t lie ;D

Bodddders, you are not alone. I and my other half have done 6 live events, and I"ve not made it past day 1 either - the closest I"ve got is 23rd in Dublin and 20 mins before the end of day one.

What could be considered embarrassing for me is that Caz (my other half) has made three day 2"s and monied in each. To be honest, I"m more proud of her than embarrassed for my own ineptitude  :D

Stick with it Bodddders, we"ll make day two before long, we might even make it to a final table.  ;D

The threads a lil harsh to say the least. This is after all tournament poker.
Fields of 200 plus runners and 10% get paid, 15% max to day 2.

Id be more tempted to reassess how things are going at the end of the season. 6/7 events isnt enough to even slightly worry about.

I know you didnt intend it as a serious thread but anyone without any progress or cash shouldnt really be worried at this early stage. Not a good message to send out.

Yep your right Max. Not meant as a serious thread, just venting off my frustrations really.

I was trying to expalin to a few of my mates, who obviously take the p..s, that some pros might go through a run of 20/30 tournies without cashing, so my 7 is nothing to worry about. Cant wait for Cardiff.

Absolutely a lot of luck in tournaments.  Otherwise how did I manage to win one?

There are definitely some very good players in the APAT events who haven"t reached a final table in the nationals - far better players than me.
