Well after much prompting by Mr Shallis (NEwportlad) and Mr Roderick (Rodders1)Ive finally managed to fit an APAT competition into my hectic lifestyle trouble is it will be my first ever live APAT tournament however Ive no idea what to expect. Im going with the view of using it as a learning experience but was wondering if I could get an advance warning on what to expect
any info greatly appreciated

-
more fun atmosphere than other events.
-
Make yerself known around the place and they"ll look after ya. Enjoy!!!
-

-
Looking forward to it however as this is my first serious "live" tournament Ive got no comparison to go by. Only heard good things about it tho

Best to show up an hour or so beforehand. Just to find your bearings and meet a few. When you first get there, find the table with the laptops and two Lads sat at them in the poker room. Leigh is the tall PR dude and Tighty...isn"t. Bug the tall guy. Introduce yourself and he"ll get some of the Lads to look after you from there.
Are you paying attention Leigh? You haz mission. :D
-
I am tall too. You"ll be fine. Laxie won"t be there
-
They are both tall...... in different directions.
-
You"ll have a great time. My first APAT event was last year and I only knew one person before I went. That soon changed ;D

Will be good to meet you in Cardiff.
For those that don"t know, Smiler was the "victim" of one of my favourite wind-up threads on APAT.
What happens when you get a few APATers bored of an afternoon ?

Most casinos have different colour chips but they are usually clearly marked with the amount they are worth,,,,,as said before ,get there early and get used to the surroundings,,big stack so plenty of time to settle into your game,,you wont find a better run tourney, have fun and goodluck !!!!!

I am aiming at Glasgow being my first "Live- Bricks & Mortar" tournament... Watching the lobby so I can buy in ASAP.

lol .,

Don"t worry about what to expect wait and find out.
See you there on Saturday.
-
Paul, you do need to be aware that APAT use a very unique chip-set.
Some have 2 or 4 holes in them for you to use when you are the button, ones where the values are in braille for when you"er the blinds, and square ones for when you"re the cut off. Otherwise it"s all pretty standard.
All good fun, and a good crack.
-
Is there a BAR at these events ?? ???
I can"t remember seeing one ;D
