Good luck to Dave "nocash" "noshoes" Garden on Monday. Definitely my tip, after recently winning the Blackpool Megastack which included a last longer bet for a Palm Beach Seat. He then won that for just shy of £30k. A man in form

Also I believe he is on 225800 chippies as opposed to the listed 72100

Dean Czyz (27 points at scrabble, no doubles or triples) all in in the big blind

Mehta calls

Roberts  Q-Q

Mehta K-K

Czyz J-J

IMO shocking scam to keep you in DTD for food/drinks. Where was the dinner break? I know peeps that were waiting for food over 45 mins then it was served up cold whats all that about?

Now I know why the staff at DTD get food discounts at other outlets on the complex!!!!

Other people had issues re the skinny breaks re hotel check ins. Please take into account we are all not regs who play every APAT (would like to but work etc blah blah)and take a 5 day w/e to play.

I played 10 hours of poker yesterday on a packet of crisps during play n a sarni for breakie b4 I started. THIS IS NOT GOOD. And If im honest I find eating at the table bloody rood anyhow.

I know DTD wont stop eating at the tables but for us who want a decent meal can we have a 45/60 min break in 12 hours next time please? Is this really too much to ask?

Rant over

No need for the rant really

It is a function of the structure

We have 400 runners and have given everyone 15,000 chips

If we put a big dinner break in each day, and still looked to finish at a reasonable time each night, then the upshot would be that we would not be ending the torunament til 5am Tuesday morning

So, by removing the buffet break we save time in order to a) use the superb structure and b)not end at a time that would make it difficult for finalists to get to work tuesday morning

This is APAT's decision, and not DTD"s

I do not appreciate the use of the word scam, if you really thing APAT or DTD for that matter wants to scam members then you are best off playing other events

The structure is cracking so no faults with that. But issues with food / booking into hotels are something to think about going forward and if you ignore that then you are fools. I suggest start at 12 or 1 0 clock.

I was personally relieved not to see the 30 min breaks after every three levels that we got in the Grand Prix last week.
Drags it out unnecessarily IMO.

I don"t see eating at the table as rude. Normal activity in a poker room as far as I"m concerned.

Was a bit suprised we were due to play 15 levels as opposed to 10 or 12, but at least that makes for a shorter final day tomorrow. Just glad I played Day 1a to give me chance to regulate the body clock before going back for Day 2

Chris Peers, James Edwards and Andy Duncan out in the last 15 minutes

Edwards described it as the "most annoying and disappointing poker tournament of my life"

Which is interesting. Perhaps he"ll explain more when he sees this

Perhaps a touch over dramatic - the annoyance & disappointment is purely directly at myself; i played really really bad

I was personally relieved not to see the 30 min breaks after every three levels that we got in the Grand Prix last week.
Drags it out unnecessarily IMO.

I agree with this. Just give peeps a chance to sort out a decent meal/check into digs. 15 min breaks dont let you do this

Just got home after a two hr tilt filled drive.
Wanna say what a great event it was and was cool to meet so many peeps for the first time

I cruised the first 12 levels, never dropping below ave until getting into a ~150k pot with  :as: ks vs  kh jd aipf
Flop was a kind  ts 5s 7d and my 93% chance of a top 10 stack into day 2 seemed likely until the  jh (mmm 2outet ftl) hit the turn. I couldnt rebink my 30% with any A, Q or spade and busted

Pretty gutted, a 3rd Hendon mob entry in a 10 day poker slog would have been the icing on the cake, but ce la vie.

Good luck to those left and I look forward to battling with u all again on the live or virtual felt!

Dann

Rant over

Please god, never ever ever ever have a 45/60 min break.  I died a little inside everytime there was a 25min break today.

I had a "proper" meal @ 1.30pm which lasted me fine, also during breaks I saw plenty of people in there cars eating a packed lunch, (wish I had thought of that).  Surely u only having a sarnie and crisps, is only one persons fault and its not APAT or DTD?

I would like 10-12 hours of poker in a dedicated cardroom, not loads of long drawn out breaks, Is this really too much to ask?

Rant over.

ps keep up the good work APAT, and DTD.  See u @ the Omaha

Great couple of days with the APAT crew as ever, all started very promising up to 31k in first level knocking out first casualty Harry Briggs with his KK v my A4 on 4/4/7 flop. Then spent 5 levels on a downward spiral missing my hole cards - AQ losing to 2/3 or hitting and getting binked - A10 (10 high board losing to 4/5 ( 2 pair on river  >:( ). Also with open end straight draw on flop and flush draw on turn hit my flush and found Linda Iwaniak with bigger flush, just sigh lol. Final nail at end of level 9 was one of real justice, shoving my A4 into QQ, hit A on flop and got 4 flushed  :D
One of those days but now onwards to the Omaha later. Good luck to those in the ME 2nd day, I"ll be railing from somewhere in the DTD building with interest. Particular good wishes to anyone I know, especially Ian Burnett, Gordon McArthur, Big Redders, Tim etc. Jealous I won"t be joining you all :P

I was also disappointed at the lack of a 45-60 minute meal break as I hate eating at the table. Having said that, if it is a choice between keeping the 15k starting stack and 15 min breaks or losing chips and/or levels, then I vote keep the structure as-is.....it is superb!
  Great job once again guys.

Had a good start in main event chip leader at one point then a couple of suck outsas usual lol to be down to about 16000 got 99 and pushed , called by AJ you know the rest ( sigh)
Nextday in 6 max doing ok until hand dealt QQ all into a raise but big blind wakes up with KK and no luck with the cards so out in that too!!! Well done to Phil on winning the 6 max great result
Lookin forward to the Omaha today but fingers crossed
Good luck to all made it to day 2 and once again well done to all at apat on the great work and also DTD for sponsoring the worlds !!!!

What a strange day for me, i was on table 31 seat 5 and was dealt poket aces FIVE times, but i got these in the first three levels so when i got paid off the first time ( v kings) everyone folded after that. When i got other big hands like ak suited or queens i got beat by straights and flushes lol. What was even stranger was that one all in was Ceri Rees v Kam Lee.... guess what, aces v aces and to put the icing on the cake, pocket aces were dealt NINE times before the table broke up. In the end i went out when my ak lost to 99s. I finished in 125th but i forgot to tell Tighty and Leigh at the update table so sorry about that guys. Brilliant days poker at DTD and a well run tourney. The 25 minute break was about right as i had a pack lunch in my car but i was rushed when it were 15 mins. I understand due to the numbers and the structure so people need to prepare better if they know that there going to be hungry for 10 hours as DTD cant cook for 200 lol. Good luck to Tom Stannard who was on my table and doing well, will go far and he got aces too lol  :)

Superb event again, always look forward to playing any APAT event I can.

Structure perfect, breaks more than enough.  Eat before / snack box - simples.

Was on Dave Howards table all day, and it was an education for me.  Great play (even though he said at one point he wasn"t playing well!)

That is the gap I want to close, and playing these type of events is the only real way to improve myself, learning and playing with better players.  Which is what I feel APAT is all about.

Loved every minute.

Best of luck to Brian Martin.

+1 (LOL)

Should never have turned up I was so jet lagged and sleep deprived I was on a different planet.  I managed to lose half my stack in the first level by convincing myself that jacks full of aces was bigger than aces full of threes (sigh).  Then when I got a stack I managed to convince myself (twice!) that the tighest player in the room was running a three barrel bluff.

Anyhow I enjoyed it (I think) big thanks to all the APAT crew and DTD for another great tourney and for those who want to have have food, long breaks, shopping trips and a cinema visit while playing - great real or go elsewhere.

great day at dtd yesterday, absolutly drained today, unfortunatly just fell short of the cut off point, saw some good poker being played.
rewarded today online dtd 30euro freeze out 64 runners came 2nd for 440euro,
these apat games seem to fine tune me,i allways seem to do well online after playing a bigger game like the apat organize,
the breaks were ok 4 me enough time 2 have a smoke update other half and a quick sarnie,
welldone again apat and dtd putting this great tourney on,
hope to get to some more in the near future.
