Another well run tournament. Great structure. Met some great players and people Thanks to the APAT for all their hard work in keeping people informed and the tournament running smoothly.
First choice of winner. Craig Johnson, a great player who narrowly missed out on the Omaha last year. Second choice: Wayne Parker for sucking out on him when I rivered the flush v his queens. Apologies. And Cheers to Derek Rowland, Jon Seales and Wayne Parker for some great crack over the 12 hours. Was on table 35 and we never lost a player for about 7 hours. A great way to put faces to on line names.
Cheers to the DTD staff and dealers. Good luck to Craig Johnson Paul Camiss Lee Stavers Gary Metcalf Owen Fenwick Norma Hall Dave Nicholson All Sunderland APATers Well done lads and good luck.

Unsurprisingly a slow down here. Average stack at 3-6k is 130k so most stacks comfortable
Folded round to Tim Magnus in the small blind and he raises with AJ
Dave Garden shoves all in in the big blind
Magnus calls all in!
Garden caught at it with Q7
7 on the flop, Q on the river and we lose Tim Magnus in 47th
Looks like going out with AJ is catching...

On Table 14
Gordon McArthur is allin for 80k UTG+2. He gets a caller in Simon Hyde, only for David Montague to go allin for 305k.
Simon dwells for ages and eventually folds, only to sigh a alot when David shows pocket 8"s and Gordon shows kd jd. Simon had folded pocket nines.
Board came 7s ad1 :2s: 6d for a bit of a sweat, then the :2c: on thr river to send Gordon McArthur to the rail in 25th place and puts David Montague on over 450k.

It"s all action on Table 14.
Allin preflop is Andrew Duffin with AK up against chipleader, David Garden, with AA

Table 14 keeps on delivering.
Simon Hyde makes a cutoff shove and gets a caller in David Montague on the button.
Simon has 55
David has 77
Board comes K 8 4 3 7
We lose Simon Hyde in 24th place and David"s stack keeps growing.

To screams of "I"m in a World of Pain, I"m in a World of pain", I rush over to table 13 to see Chris Salmon allin for his 70k stack with A6, and up against the pocket aces of Ian Turner.
The board comes
2 6 6 4 T
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM of a flop
Chris doubles up to 150k, and Ian is very gratious with the bad beat.

Here we go then
Bradley Girard raises the small blind
Andy Overton on 180,000 and looking for a double flats in the big blind. With Dem Aces
flop Q-9-6 rainbow
Girard bets, Overton calls
turn 2
Girard sets Overton in Overton snaps off, a cunning plan has come to fruition, here comes the double up, well played Andy, superb slow play, you genius
Girard reveals 6-2
For turned two pair
Overton leans back, hands on head, mouth agape like a guppy fish at dinner time
Terrible slow play Andy, what were you thinking off, terrible plan, you are out
River Q to counterfeit Girard"s two pair and give Overton Aces and Queens
Overton doubles to about average, 300,000

Dave Garden"s on fire raises UTG to 65k, Wayne Parker raises allin for his 190k stack.

Wayne has ac 4c
Board comes T 6 3 A 2
so we lose Wayne Parker in 10th place
Well played Wayne. Another deep run.

Good luck to all on the final table. Cheers to all the APAT guys and to all at DTD. Another awesome event. Gutted to go out the way I did but got my money in good and can"t ask for much more than that and from coming back with 9 big blinds got to be happy with 16th.
Thanks to all those who railed me, on here, on Facebook and at the club. Much appreciated.
Here"s to the next one!

At present we are watching the two bigger stacks, Garden and Rzegotta, raise with impunity unchallenged in most pots
Paul Cammiss has a comfortable stack
The other three are clinging on, posssibly looking to ladder
With the blinds now up to 25-50k opportunities to do this will soon vanish

Back home now. Thanks to Tighty, Leigh, Des, Ian and Amanda for all of your efforts in what was yet another fantastic weekend.
Great to see so many friends, Carl, Alan, JP, Waz, Ian, JoJo, et al from Team Luton and Team Jaxie, Ger, Paulie, Captain Swindells, James B, Phil TC, Mark P, Chris Peers, the tumbling Ward brothers (tumbling in and out of the bar), Paul Mac, Dan O, Rudders Snr. & Jnr., Rodders, Ridders (Gary J), and Redders (Mr. Shallis), all of the BCPC guys and gals and Dave and Debbie (moooooooooooose) from sunny Hailsham. In fact (virtually) everyone.
Heartiest congrats to Team Wales for an epic win, Chris on the HU (magic) Champs, Paul Mac on the H.O.R.S.E., and JP, Phil TC and Andy Duncan for going so close yet again.
If I forgot to mention you, sorry.

That concludes our coverage of the Main event, and shortly the WCOAP
Over 5 days and seven events 892 players have competed for APAT WCOAP Championship events
Well done to all the winners, and all the players for what is widely being regarded as the best APAT festival so far
Thank you to DTD for hosting wonderfully
Leigh, Des and I would particularly like to that Haworth Bantam and Bantams Babe for their volunteer help over 5 days. Many of the wonderful pictures are from Ian.
We now move on to Cork in late September. Hope to see some of you there
For now though, good night.

Just read through the thread and enjoyed the (anti?) railage a lot.
Great weekend and loved the comps I played. M/E structure was excellent allowing me to small-ball it all the way.
Seems room 118 at the Holiday Inn was the place to be as Awesome Hutch (his words not mine) also managed a bronze medal in the HU, so I"ll be requesting that room again in future.
Wp everyone who cashed and it was good to meet a lot of new faces. Now all I need is to get back into the Glenfiddich Gang and my life is complete.
Bang up job from everyone at DTD and big shout out to all the APAT guys who workded their arses off. All comps ran flawlessly imo.
Cheers Dave
