Thank you (Tim Magnus posting under the disguise of Luke)!!
« on: January 14, 2008, 14:37:24 PM »
Well I managed to get home safely after a long drive back down the M4. Arrived back at 1.30 in the morning. Not the best preparation for another week at work!

Firstly, I would like to say thanks to Des and every one that organised the event. I think this is my 4th APAT tournamnet and they seem to get better with each time that I play in the event.

Well done to all the other cash winners. The final table was incredibly tense, especially when it got down to the last 4. It could of gone either way, though thankfully the card god was on my side and I hit the hands when it mattered.

In truth I still cant quite belive that I have won the event!!!

I am now looking forward to playing in the GUKPT event. This will be my first big buy in live event. It was something I had been planning to do this year and was looking to satellite in. Now I have got the chance to do it by APAT and for that I am over the moon. I Hope to do all the APAT members proud and put in a good performance.

I have now cashed in my last three deep stack live tournaments and so I am feeling relatively confident that I can hold my own.

I met some great people over the weekend and hope to see you all in the European leg or alternatively the Scottish leg in April.

Once again, many thanks.

Tim

Well played Tim.

A worthy name to add to our list of champions.

Nice one.

Very well played Tim,

It was a pleasure to be on tables with you during the tourney, esp the final one.  The drive back to Cornwall was very wet and windy.  It was certainly a dark and stormy night but I really enjoyed the weekend - my first APAT event and only my second live game.  Once again well done on the victory and thank you to everyone involved in making it a great success.  I will put the word around West Cornwall about how good APAT is and you can count on me crossing the River Tamar to join in more APAT tourneys.

All the best

I lost a couple on the first day.

I think I won every race on the second day. Though I was ahead pre flop on all bar one which was an a10 against a pocket pair. I caught the river which was rather fortunate!

I felt I made a couple of lay downs which could of got rather costly and played my usual game!

Just hoping im not the first one out at the next APAT tournament. That certainly would be a come down!

Very well done Tim - a fantastic performance! Also thanks for allowing me to get to the bar earlier than might otherwise have been the case ::)

Well done Tim,

Driving back home on the M4 with my mate and having a chat about you (Tim) not losing a race on Day 2. It was your tournament Mate!!!! Well atleast my  :as: kc got beaten by a propoer hand  qs qh which is a typical poker hand on the final table.

I have played in 5 APAT events and this was by far my best result (3rd).

What I like about these events is the value you get for your money and the people you meet are fantastic.

I would like to thank Des, TK, and not forgetting the tournament Director (Dina) for a wonderful 2 days of poker... well for the few of us anyway.

Now looking forward to the next event....

Cheers
