OK, so I don"t have the largest sample on my opponent here and no notes to help me either unfortunately. It folds to me OTB here. I make my standard raise to 75c. The small blind comes back with a pretty standard 3-bet. He has played 24 hands and 3-bet once before. I think I am ahead of his 3-bet range in this spot. I therefore 4-bet thinking I am probably ahead and have a pretty good chance of taking the pot there and then. He 5bet shoves on me.

What are the thoughts on my 4-bet and what is his range for the 5 bet shove here do you think?

EDIT: It is unlikely he has any kind of good read on me but if he does he would know my button raising range is wide (about 40%). He may also know that I don"t need to have AK or QQ+ to 4-bet in this spot (although I don"t think so).

As played, and without much history to go on, I fold.

I probably don"t 4bet here against an unknown with such a strong hand - I really want to be playing flops in position, and don"t want to have to fold such a good hand to a 5bet shove.... so I probably just flat call the initial 3bet, which also adds some disguise to the strength of your hand.

You need to have a bit of history to get into 4bet/5bet wars here. I"d flat the 3bet pre but usually when i"d4bet here it"s with the intention of calling because we have history
